Ok so this was probably worst experience we had in any Wagamama in London. Yesterday around 18:30 myself and my friend decided to have something to eat and we opted for Wagamama in Paddington. We sat outside in the garden area as there was a lot of empty tables. First or all the two young girls that were waiting tables outside were clearly knew and had no training. We waited 12min for the menus and when the waitres came she gave us 1 food menu and 1 drinks menu even though there was two of us. She came back after literally 2min asking for the order. I kindly asked for another menu for my friend and we ordered our drinks in the meantime. She disappeared again for 10min brought back the second menu and started asking for our food order adding "do you know your table number?". Well we had no idea plus it wasn't our job to know this. When ordering food she asked us to give her the dishes number from the menu rather than the dish name. We waited 15min and first starter arrived but there was still no sign of drinks. We asked for chopsticks and she brought them right away however she was holding them the end we would eat with. Not hygienic as they had no protective paper. We kindly asked about our drinks. The food started arriving and first the other waitress came like 3 times with different dishes asking if they were our dishes. They were not. She also was holding ramen bowls having her thumb almost in a soup. The other girl came with the rest of dishes and literally her long black hair were resting on our pad Thai! The dirty dishes from other guests were all over tables around us with none of the girls clearing them for 30min (actually nobody cleared the tables at all). At the end of our meal I asked for glasses of water. We literally had to wait 10min as nobody was coming out to the garden so I had to go inside to remind her about water just to find her on her phone by the counter. It was minutes before she appeared with the water and I asked for the bill right away. She came back after few minutes saying "that will be £62.50" and pointing the card machine in my direction...without showing us any bill first. I said "well no, can I first see the bill" as given the disastrous experience the last thing I wanted is to trust her with my bill. She brought back the bill, it was correct but she then asked us to step inside and the card machine didn't work properly. The whole experience was sooooo painful. Both girls were disappearing inside the restaurants constantly. Dirty dishes were not cleared which completely ruined the nice atmosphere of being outside. They clearly need proper training. This all starts with the management and nobody came to check on them knowing clearly they are freshers. Needles to say we were completely depressed by the whole experience and won't be coming to your restaurant in Paddington...

I know this restaurant is a chain but heard it’s actually very good. I visited the Paddington location on a weeknight for dinner. Restaurant was surprisingly crowded and there was a wait. I noticed a few tables were empty but servers explained they didn’t have servers for all the tables… the lady who seated and served us was great but doing too many jobs at once. She was managing tables and front desk and cleaning so I can’t blame her but service to take our order was slow because of the multitasking. We placed our order and got our drinks 1/2 hour later which was too bad. Then for my table of 3, first person got their meal then 15 minutes later 2nd person and 40 minutes later I still don’t have my meal. My table almost finished their meal when I asked what happened… that’s when I said it’s ok please cancel the order it was almost 9 pm and honestly why can’t they do 3 meals at the same time. I noticed cooks were doing a lot of take out orders and I am assuming they just made them based on type of dishes rather than order. They finally gave my meal about 10 minutes later One dish ordered was katsu chicken it must of sat on the counter for a while as it was served Luke warm and rice was hard. Pad Thai was also luke warm. My meal when it arrived was piping hot and actually tasted good which was great but honestly it came so late I wasn’t impressed. I am sure other locations are better but I would avoid this one. Management needs to get their act together. Also price is premium for a low quality meal...

Walked into this Wagamamas, good range of food on the menu. Excited to try the chilli chicken ramen and ordered a lemonade drink. The drink was really nice I highly recommend but I wish it was colder as it was Luke warm (not chilled). I was excited to try the chilli chicken ramen and the presentation looked REALLY good. However, when I ate the food it was quite bland. The first thing I noticed was the food was not hot and not cold. It was at drinkable temperature. The food was bland ish and the ramen wasn't soaking up any of the flavour it felt like I was eating cooked spaghetti. I tried my best to continue eating it as I ordered it but eventually me and my group (who all ordered the same thing) had to ask to return it. The service was good and attentive but unfortunately I wasn't keen on their food. It lacked flavour which might be personal preference as I haven't been to Wagamamas before. The chicken in the ramen was really dry in the soup with no flavour. The staff did offer to bring replacements of the food but I didn't fancy trying their other food after having bland noodles in soup. Manager was helpful in not making this a big issue as we never return food unless its to the point were struggling to even eat it. Perhaps it was a one off in decline of quality considering that the drinks and other customers who ordered different things didnt seem to have issues...

At our first ever wagamama visit, my sister and I decided to have dinner there, we arrived 1,5 hour before closing. At first, I tried to order at least 3-4 different items from pad thai to udon, and the answer was always the same: sorry, but we are out of this. My sister’s order and what she actually got were nowhere near each other. We ended up getting the same dish, a chicken raisukaree, that’s when we realized that very likely this is the only item still available at the restaurant at that time of the day. Even though the food was really delicious, the process of ordering was a nightmare. Though I absolutely loved their high five panchi cocktail😍 and I’m not even a fan of alcohol but it was really great, it’s tasty and the alcohol is not too strong in it. My sister ordered a thai chilli margarita, and it turned out the restaurant was out of it, but they still charged us for this drink too. When we saw this item on our bill, of course we told them it’s a mistake because the drink was not available, and they cancelled it, but still, trying to charge for something that they didn’t even serve is not very professional. My overall opinion is that their menu is great, but the way this specific restaurant is run is not cool. How can they be out of VARIOUS items (food and drink included) 1,5 hour before closing?? A con: the music was too loud, a pro: the bathroom is neat and clean.

The location is beautiful, but unfortunately the service is poor. The food is fine, but the experience was disappointing. I arrived early on the weekend as the only customer and sat outside waiting to be acknowledged or offered a menu. Two other customers arrived shortly after, and they were given menus and had their orders taken right away, while I was still waiting. When I eventually asked for a menu, the waiter apologised and admitted they had forgotten. I was also asked about allergies three separate times, which came across as disorganised rather than attentive. Considering there were only 2–3 customers in total, the level of service felt very unprofessional I can’t imagine how they cope when it gets busy. The waiter/s themselves were polite and friendly, but it’s clear they lack proper training in customer service, which I see as a management issue

I love wagamama and how is pushing for more vegan food. Most of their menu is now vegan! The quality is always good and reasonably balanced between different branches. This one was again quite good but I found that some sauces were too spicy. The katsu curry sauce was not great. It looked like they put too much curry and you have that weird texture. The vegan sticky ribs again too spicy and too burned. It was great don't get me wrong I'm just being picky since the quality in wagamama is always high. This place could improve a bit some of the plates and be at the same level of other branches.
