Alif Grill — Restaurant in Manchester

First time I've orderd from here, it was missing a roti and had extreamly small portions for the price. We ordered sea bass with a side of rice and chic peas and with that you get a Turkish bread. The sea bass was undercooked, the rice was lovely but we put it in our usual take away plastic tray and it filled it half way when we get it full from other places, and the Turkish bread was burnt on one half. One thing that was important to me was there wasn't a small complimentary salad which I have got from all other take aways when I order, even from places in the same area of the same cuisine. We also ordered a lamb curry which was delish and packed with meat but no veg at all and again no side salad or yoghurt sauce to compliment the heat of the curry,and there was no indication of how spicy it was going to be and my children couldn't eat it, unfortunately I wouldn't order...

I was really disappointed with my visit to Alif Grill. The food did not taste fresh at all it seemed like everything had been pre-grilled earlier and then just reheated when ordered. This made the chicken and meat extremely dry and hard to enjoy.

On top of that, they don’t accept card payments, which is quite unusual and inconvenient in this day and age. You can’t help but wonder why it’s cash only 🤔

The place itself felt quite messy — the tables were dirty, and it didn’t seem like the staff cared much about cleaning up between customers. The service was also very slow, and overall the atmosphere was uncomfortable. One older lady working there kept staring at us throughout the meal, which made the whole experience even more awkward.

Definitely not somewhere I’d visit again...

Mashallah tabarak Allah. I went with my friends today and we were very hungry but we was also nervous to try something new. I saw my mates Snapchat story and the picture looked sooo good. So we decided to give it a shot. At first we were thinking it is pricey. But mashallah when we tried it it was out of this world. We had a mixed grill with rice and chips. The food was so so good and we were shocked at how they managed to do it in such a short space of time. The food was cooked brilliantly and the flavours were so good. I’d give this place 11/10....
