Excellent Takeaway Experience – Will Definitely Return!
I stopped for takeaway while passing through the Manchester area, and my family was exceptionally pleased with the quality of the food. The prices were very reasonable, the cleanliness was impressive, and Emmanuel’s service and preparation stood out.
Thank you for your great work! Many Ethiopian restaurants are often set up in converted ground-floor spaces (which give a cozy, family-oriented vibe), but this one is clearly purpose-built as a restaurant which is suitable for catering to different sized groups. Even though I didn’t dine in, it was evident that the space was designed to offer a great authentic atmosphere.
The real standout, however, was the food. We sampled the vegetarian platter and two meat dishes—each was cooked to perfection. The spice level was just right—flavorful without being overpowering—and everything came with fresh sides like salad and chilli.

Staff were welcoming and took time to explain the different Ethiopian dishes to us. Portions are huge and everything was absolutely delicious. Ethiopian food has a very distinct spice profile - with cardamom and ginger widely used, spiced but not spicy. Injera #1 in my life. Brown, sour, with complex taste. Absolutely incredible.
Meat and veg dishes were very tasty, not oily and although I'd rather have them a bit more spicy I'm aware it's a personal preference.
