We came in and were seated at dirty table. Not a great start. Then we had wait a further 30 minutes until we could order, once we ordered the food came out relatively quick. However, the quality of the food was terrible. We ordered 3 schnitzels, all of which were burnt! One a lot more than the other two. Once we were eventually able to flag down a waiter and told him the problem he snatched the plate off the table without saying a word and walked off with it. We had to ask another waiter what was happening with our food. A new plate was brought out 15 minutes later after two of us had finished eating. Even then the new one that was brought out was not the best quality for the price of what we paid. Overall, the waiters were rude and unfriendly, and the food quality and overall service were atrocious. I’d highly recommend that you train your floor staff in manner and how to address complaints regarding the food. The only redeeming feature of the visit were the bar staff (very friendly and good at what they do) and the drinks that they made!

Went here on Valentine's day and was impressed by the decor and vibe of this place. We were seated on time and the waitress was very attentive - always asking if we needed any more drinks etc, not like at some places where you practically have to stand up and dance to get them to come over! I had the Banyan Platter which was very nice and offered a nice variety of starters, the Mrs had some kind of salad thingy (a bowl I think it's called) which she said was nice, but did mention that it was a touch on the cold side. For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding with custard which was really nice and I'd definitely recommend that! The Mrs has a chocolate orange brownie which also tasted really nice, the prices were reasonable too which is always good. Cocktails from here were also very nice and the 2 for 1 option is an added bonus - well worth it! I'd definitely recommend this restaurant, wasn't too busy when we went either and they were playing actual good songs!

2-4-1 Cocktails is a must. We went for dinner on Saturday and booked online to ensure we had a table, this was really easy to do. After arriving shortly after 5pm we were greeted on the door by a bouncer, who showed us in to the hostess- she then guided us to our table. Banyan, being Banyan has a 90's- early 00's vibe with classic hits and a great atmosphere. Seated down from us was a hen-party of what must have been a group of 20 who turned up, to say the least! At first it was a slightly confusing experience as we weren't "assigned" a waiter/waitress. Upon collaring one, I asked whether we were to order at the bar or if we were waited upon. I was told, either or... Okay. I ended up ordering at the bar, and after a short while drinks and some lovely food was served. We must have been there for the best part of 2 hours and it was pleasant to say the least. A great night out starter, and from previous experience, night out end too.

It would be a disservice to not leave a review and I couldn't recommend the bar more highly... One of the best things about working in the spinningfields area for me, is indisputably this bar! Everythingggg is top notch... the food is great (*try the beefburger and fries(!) Because even the 'simple' things are handled very well. The price point is very reasonable for the area, and with their bottomless brunch and 2-4-1 cocktails and kids eat free promotions running..it's a no-brainer.! Most especially when the drinks are ridiculously priced in most venues around this postcode!

However hands down the favorite thing here for me is; the customer service! As it NEVER fails to be exemplary and outstanding!

The undeniably fabulous excellent manager Kurtis has recruited a wonderful team here.

And I personally can't wait to come back just after I've left! Best Banyan in the bunch imo ! CornEx - 2nd (only because the fall out from the Printworks crowd is less preferred for me, though I admit that's a personal thing haha)

The gorgeous, super professional and sweet Harry/the loveliest loveliest loveliest Sophie who is a personal fave /Vlad whose attentiveness has to be applauded/Dimitri who professionalism is on point /Simona whose absolute sweetness is equal to her exceptional customer service(!!!) and literally every other member of staff, I have come into contact with, whose names I sadly don't know or remember has impressed me no end! Did I mention the gorgeous Andrea Ben Blessing or Caitlin⁩ or Ethan? Or should be a supermodel Georgia, or the chefs in the kitchen special shout out to James, Andrew or Peter and Jordan ?!oh there has never been more deservant of employee exceptionality than this group!!

So much so that it's CLEAR their GM Kurtis who is unmatchedddd in all things superior management, recruitment etc makes this venue all it is!!

Couldn't recommend this venue more highly 5* exceptional and fantastic experience EVERY...

Apart from the seating being ridiculously high..... hip shatteringly high , two of our party being just over 5ft tall and struggling to even get onto the seats the server then found us a booth with regular height seats but in all honesty I wish I'd been guided by the ridiculous seating and left before ordering because all I can say about the food is overpriced and barely edible.... this venue seems to hold being stylish and trendy above the quality of its food, £15 for a burger that my son who usually eats everything in sight couldn't eat because in his words was "the worst burger I've ever tasted and I've eaten dads cooking" (for those who wouldn't know what dads cooking is like let's just say the man can burn water), he couldn't put his finger on what the weird taste was but it was making him feel sick so he left it , the fries weren't much better most of them were so hard they shot off the plate at the mere touch of a fork , the alpine chicken schnitzel was bland, tasteless and dry and had the same issue with hard chips , one of our party ordered the thai red curry and said it was delicious but would have been easier to eat if she'd had a spoon and fork instead of a knife and fork.... so if you just want drinks and aren't afraid of falling off the high seats then it's a nice enough place but I couldn't recommend the food based on our experience. The server was...

Went for the bottomless supper as part of a large group. Had the chicken salad and bought some extra starters, the portions we received were really small. The duck bao bun was rock hard and had clearly been microwaved not steamed despite it being served in a steamer tray. It was sent back and replaced by another one which arrived slightly less hard but still inedible and unable to cut it up so again that was sent back. Twenty five minutes after receiving the rest of our food we received chicken skewers as a replacement. Despite it being ‘bottomless’ we only received two drinks for the entire time we were there and then we’re told it was ‘last orders’. Both the cocktails I tried tasted really bad, the grapefruit fizz you could only risk having one or suffering with chronic heartburn for a week. Most of the staff were lovely however there was a small waitress with dark hair who was really rude all evening and after we had done she angrily shouted at members of our group multiple times to ‘move to the bar’, clearly she’s never heard of asking politely. When I raised this with another staff member they laughed and shook their head as if to acknowledge that she regularly behaves like this. This was my first time at Banyan, safe to say I didn’t experience anything that would make me...
