Inattentive staff, not the best coffee, there are better places in town. Don't recommend!
I thought I'd give this place a go because I enjoy trying different coffee places in Manchester and I hadn't tried this place yet. It was a cold and windy day so I decided to stop there for a coffee to warm up as I was on my way home. Walked in, and even though there was no queue, I had to wait for a bit because the staff were talking among themselves. First of all, the guy got my order wrong (I asked for 2 coffees, one small and one medium, but both coffees were the same size). My mocha was served spilled (see pic) and it was basically a small hot chocolate (couldn't taste the coffee to be honest).
My partner's cappucino was more like a latte (no foam, no sprinkles). The only table available was close to the door, which stayed open. I remember getting up to close it more than once because the weather was bad (and the reason why I stopped for a coffee was to stay in a warm place), but one of the staff opened it again right after me. Thanks! Not the cosiest place, nor the best coffee nor staff. Overall not the greatest experience... I will...
Read moreBeen in here twice now, and the first time, last year with my daughter the place made quite a fuss about apologising about the fact that it had to serve dine in customers with the take away cup because the dishwasher was broken. Well a year later and we went in yesterday and all that fuss has gone - you're just drinking your drink in the paper cup and that's that. Pretty shoddy in this day and age when the whole world is stressed about the state of the place and not wasting stuff. The waxed paper cups cant be recycled because the wax blocked the screens on the pulping machines, and the chances of the stack of PS disposable lids being recycled are negligible. Its a real shame because they do a very tasty turmeric latte with a sprinkling of paprika on top. "Dont follow the herd" is the motto. Well you wont in here, you'll be forced to be bad for the planet. Good one. Even better cos I saw they were in the process of opening a new gaff in London last time I was there last month....
Read moreSo good coffee and so lovely staffs! Joe specifically! ❤️❤️❤️ I forgot bringing my wallet with me today and they don’t do cash. It was so embarrassing that I asked the lady next table to pay my coffee. She kindly did so and I gave the cash to her. Very friendly nice couple they are!!! Few minutes later, I needed to buy a coffee for my friend who is late, and I was so brave and asked the lady behind me to do the same. Believe me it was deadly embarrassing!!! The lady and her friend/partner were both very nice, happy to pay for my coffee, thanks! While Joe heard our conversation and kindly provided me the opportunity to get a free coffee if I leave a comment. I leave this comment not just because they provided the free coffee, but more the fact that the place is really cozy, relaxing, and my coffee is great! I had been here before with another friend for a cocktail earlier this year, and that was great too! 💯...
