Had the WORST Customer service I have ever encountered. So as we got there there was only one girl working there was a couple of people before me in the queue she wasn’t very friendly, quite rude I felt, but I brushed it off as she was farely busy. However the next encounter was the one that made me write this review, So first of all I walk up the stairs to go to the toilet I see you need a code so I have to go back down the stairs , I walk up to the counter, there is a girl serving someone, without acknowledging me and still facing the customer she mutters something I just caught ‘turn right’ , for no reason did I think she was talking to me i hadn’t even said anything to her at that point! So then I say ‘ excuse me do you have the c...’ she cut me off! Turned to me , what I can only describe as, in utter disgust , and said 1 4 2 , turn right’ She said this in such a tone I was shocked! I looked around to see if she was actually talking to me as I couldn’t understand why someone would talk to a customer that way , I was in total disbelief , I couldn’t believe she had spoken to me in this way! Like I had inconvenienced her so much to have to repeat herself! As we were leaving I noted to them that there service was shocking especially that girl, she then continued to argue with me and say she had already told me the code, i explained that 1. I hadn’t even asked the question at the point where she first said the code, and 2 she didn’t even acknowledge me so how was I to know she was talking to me... and it was the way she looked and spoke to me afterwards that was why I was so outraged ... I found out her name was ‘karin’ . For someone that has worked on customer service before the way she treated me was beyond ‘beyond bad service’ I wouldn’t speak to anyone like that especially not a customer ! I think they need some training. Will never visit this cafe Nero...
Read moreA Robbery under staff's eyes I am a regular at this Cafe Nero branch and visit to several branches around the country. In this particular branch I spend my time studying for University, however as of today, 31/May/2019, my phone was stolen by a known thief who disguises as a beggar, entering the shop, and is well known to the staff, I am aware of this information after consulting one of the staff regarding my phone being stolen as soon as the incident occurred, and my sentence was finished by the employee with 'Oh yeah that guy did he take your phone?'. What appears to me is ur staff were aware that this person is a regular thief, and she continued to say that he previously stole a phone in the previous week. The staff did not warn any of the customers present to keep their belongings away from the tables, however seeming as though Cafe Nero prides itself on being 'the best at what it does' it isn't able to provide safety for its customers. I no longer feel safe in this Cafe Nero branch, and am fearful to enter any store across the country. Due to the fact that the staff were clearly aware that this person was entering the building, yet did nothing to ask him to leave, or warn the customers, and I am appalled at this. The conclusion I have come to is that your staff are accomplices to such thief at this Cafe Nero branch, and have not done anything to assist their customer, but tell me that there is nothing they can do. This is disgusting customer service, and defeats all the purpose of being safe in your stores. This meant that I no longer feel safe enough to visit any Cafe Nero store, I am further recommending to all of my friends, and through my social media accounts that people do not visit Cafe Nero branches due to the lack of safety...
Read moreThe manager runs the place with abysmally poor customer service. We missed a small discreet allergy label that would have meant a life or death situation for one of us, and rather than doing what most places will do and allow for a replacement, the manager insisted on a new payment. You know how you can tell a restaurant or cafe that something is not right and then you get to amend it or get something else back? Or how a customer can make a little mistake and because you like getting customers for your business, you help? This place won’t. I advise costumers to put their money elsewhere. And if the manager wishes to give an underhanded reply to my review, please read her views with a pinch of salt. The patronising service we received resulted in us leaving all our food behind, so I can’t leave a...
