I called into this cafe this morning as I was staying in the stay city next door and it has been recommended to me by the staff. I had my 2 year old and my 10 year old with me as we were over from Ireland as a family to watch the man utd game and the lady behind the desk told me sorry they were full and it was bookings only this was at around 9.30 a.m. I could clearly see empty tables and I explained we were just trying to grab some breakfast before our flight but she said no they were fully booked, I then left the cafe and went online and checked the booking and could see multiple spaces so I booked a table for 5 online, my wife and daughter joined me, when I walked back in and said “Hi I now have a booking “ the lady looked at me and said I’ll have to check does this booking stand cause sometimes you can make a booking then later it can get cancelled. I was very confused so she walked off for a couple of minutes and then came back and said “OK I’ve managed to get you a table” as if she was after doing me a favor, when I went upstairs there was 5 free tables and 2 downstairs. I was fuming but my wife begged me not to say anything so I didn’t.

Why could they not just give me the table the first time.

2.Why did she have to check could I come in after me making a confirmation booking online

I had 3 young kids with me and I had to stand outside for no reason in the freezing cold to make an account to book a table as I knew there was space but she would not let me have a free table

I spent nearly 65 pounds on breakfast but still left with a bad taste in my mouth

I would not recommend this Cafe to any family because it was either not family friendly or she didn’t like us cause we were Irish but she purposely went out of her way not...

Even though the location is small, I keep coming back to this Moose Coffee. I really like the chain, but the staff at the Piccadilly location really make the experience.

I'm autistic and struggle with loud environments and flagging people down confidently enough but the staff here anticipated my every need and we're lovely through the whole experience without me having to disclose any of this. I had a booking for one and it was fairly busy when I came in, but I was seated within a minute, had my coffee within five and my breakfast within twenty.

The waitress Amy was able to confidently advise me on the menu, and helped me pick a breakfast that was to my liking. The barista Izzie made a really lovely moose macchiato - I know the American style macchiato is not to everyone's liking but I love a good sugary coffee and it wasn't too sweet at all. The other waitress on staff Kim had a lovely demeanor, and kept the door shut and the wind chill out as I was sat next to the entrance, and was very attentive for the entire time I was there.

I didn't feel rushed at all, and the food was brilliant as always. The chef named on my card was Alex, and the pancakes and bacon were fantastic and some of the best I've had.

I forgot to take a photo when I started but enjoy one I got of my very clear plate at the end!

Can't recommend this location more for lovely staff and accomodation for...

THIS IS A RESTAURANT NEXT TO A TRAIN STATION YOU SHOULD CHOOSE YOUR STAFF CAREFULLY TO NOT BE RACIST.

Rude staff member when I arrived I mentioned to her colleague that we had a booking. Her colleague was very kind and said they couldn’t find our name but still offered us a table without a booking. Later, as the first lady was leaving, she saw us and spoke in a VERY AGGRESSIVE WAY, without even asking politely if she could help. She immediately said that SHE CANCELED OUR BOOKING. I told her I didn’t receive any cancellation, and she replied, “CHECK IN YOUR JUNK.” Then she said, “IF YOU WANT, WE CAN OFFER YOU SEPARATE TABLES,” but without asking my family first, she added, “YOU CAN GO AND TRY ANOTHER SHOPS??!!” as if she was kicking us out.

She was extremely RUDE AND MEAN. The lady with black hair and blue eyes when I agreed to sit at separate tables REFUSED and said, “NO, GO AND TRY DIFFERENT SHOPS.” This is unacceptable. Meanwhile, the BLONDE LADY WAS SO RESPECTFUL and professional.

Honestly, I feel this treatment was BECAUSE WE ARE MUSLIMS. The booking was under a common Muslim name, and the way she looked at us was very hostile. Right after that, some NATIVE customers walked in, and she welcomed...

So, let's get the not so good stuff out the way.. the wait time was on the long side and as we sat down, we were told there was no salmon.. which is what I had come for. (Eggs Benedict with salmon) so I ended up going for half hash brown and half spinach and garlic. Was not bad, but was not especially good either. My wife had the green line and she commented on how flavoursome and tasty it was. Coffee was again, fine, nothing amazing. Becca who served us was really nice and friendly, that was a big plus. Then moving on to the star of the show. The pancake stack. I opted for the Nutella and peanut butter with granola stack. I read reviews about the portion size being generous, but still didn't take heed. I should have left the eggs Benedict and gone solely for the pancakes. Was very tasty, soft and fluffy. I love peanut butter, I had to ask for more separately as it was so moreish. It was a really nice way to end the meal. Half price thanks to Rishi. Fair prices regardless it has to be said. I would recommend to others and I will come again. I will stick to pancakes next time personally, but maybe there are a few offerings up your street.

I have lost count of how many times I've been to Moose — either this one or the York Street restaurant — but I will happily continue to visit and work my way through the extensive menu. As always, the restaurant was very busy on a weekend, and because we didn't book ahead (and this branch is situated on Piccadilly Approach with heavy footfall), we had a 45-minute wait, but it was worth it. Each time I come here, the food does not disappoint: varied menu options, filling brunch food, and generous portion sizes (to be expected from a North American chain). The drinks are delicious here, too. I particularly like their white chocolate mocha, although that isn't always available. On this visit, I ordered a firm favourite of mine for brunch: the Green Line, which I sometimes default to when the number of choices becomes overwhelming. My friend ordered the Lula Bacon and seemed very happy with her choice. I look forward to my next Moose visit!
