Meh. Unfortunately another great restaurant ruined by expanding. This location does not live up to the quality and expectations delivered in the NQ location. The decor and attention to detail in the restaurant are evident, although the attention to detail in staff seems to be only based on looks and image rather than professionalism which is a shame as the idea of using a tray to carry drinks for example is unheard of, causing one of our coffees to be spilled when slammed on the table to which no care was given in even apologising, but it's understandable that the lady serving couldn't help but slam everyone's drinks and plates on their tables as her nails are longer than eagle talons.

Tables and counters including floor are covered in food. The sandwich and cake display was full of flies on a 16 degree day. Imagine on a hot day.

The food we ordered was average at best, we had the pancakes and the Nduja rigatoni. As you can see in the picture the mascarpone was pulverised in a pan which has caused it to split, amateur hour across the board. Imagine paying gourmet prices for amateur service, pathetic, not to mention that you're sat on your table and staff don't even bother telling you that you have to order at the counter because theyre more bothered looking at their reflection on the window.

I was going to leave two stars but as staff don't even bay an eyelid when customers leave then, as a team, you've earned just one...

Best pancakes ever without a shadow of a doubt. I am still sitting at the table while writing this review and every bite feels like heaven. I found this place on a Google search while looking for a breakfast place, this one is a minute walking from the hotel I'm staying in, The Midland Hotel. Quite central, both tables and spots you can sit alone without feeling out of place. It is a busy spot but feels very quiet. I ordered Kinder and Strawberry Pancakes and they are the perfect size, not too much that makes you feel so full and not a small portion that makes you feel like eating more. I also got a fresh orange juice that was made in a second right in front of me: finished the first glass in a minute, had to get another one as good as it was. Bar and kitchen very quick service and everyone is sooo nice, hard to find such great and smiley staff. Definitely coming back later or tomorrow to try a coffee. I'm so glad I don't live in Manchester or my wages would be disappear in this place (have to say, it is a bit pricey, but totally worth it!). Definitely not to miss while...

They actually open at 10AM and the timings here are wrong so the lady will not let you in until 9:55 earliest. Luckily we only reached at 9:30 but if I’d have gone for 8AM that would be unbelievable. Furthermore, they do not open most of the area until later in spite of being a breakfast place. This leaves a small quantity of uncomfortable seats available for people to sit on. Some of these tables are No Laptop Tables, which does not make a lot of sense early in the morning before food starts being served. I witnessed a staff member badger an old man who needed to go on a meeting and move him to a high seat table just so that he could use his laptop, though the funny thing is they were not serving food yet so there was plenty of space for his laptop. Odd policy that just doesn’t make sense. Anyway the food itself is decent, however the prices are way too expensive for what you actually get. £10 for some scrambled eggs and toast is actually ridiculous considering how cheap the ingredients are. These London prices don’t make a...

One of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time-I've been excited about leaving this review. We came on a Saturday morning after a night out and were glad to be seated straight away. I love eating breakfast out but most menus focus heavily on eggs, which makes it disappointing for someone who eats anything but egg. This menu was one of the best breakfast menus I've seen, there was a range of sandwiches, halloumi, avocado, pancakes and so on (and not just bloomin eggs!!). It's a quirky place and I liked the feel of it. Busy and busting but not too chaotic. We ordered a pecan and chocolate swirl and coffees, and a biscoff pancake with espresso marscapone to share. We stuffed down the pastry while we waited, it was delicious. The pancake was fluffy and equally as tasty, but we were so full we couldn't finish it. I think this came to around £17 which I didn't think was too bad for brunch for two. I'd definitely be a regular if this place was closer to home. Excellent food-thanks guys 👍🏼👌🏼

Called in mid afternoon on a week day and got seated straight away, and having had a chance to view and sample the menu I can see why there are sometimes queues at peak times. The place has a very laid back vibe, with interior design to match, the menu is comprehensive in terms of range of choice and a bonus option of being able to take away too (there is a 'grab and go' chiller with some amazing sandwiches in). We stayed for coffee and cake, as it was the end of our visit to the city, wishing we had dipped inside earlier in our stay. The place has a relatively small frontage, which doesn't match the interior which goes back quite a way from the street. There are some carefully chosen grocery options to buy too. Will definitely be returning, and with having plant based eaters in our party, we will do so confident that everybody will find something to satisfy their taste buds!
