RESTAURANT MANAGERS ATTITUDE IS AWFUL

I frequently visit this HOME theatre in Manchester to enjoy films, exhibitions and I genuinely love the cozy atmosphere. However, my recent experience left much to be desired.

Before the film, my partner and I decided to grab a coffee and a cake in a restaurant and sat at one of the tables to enjoy them. Unfortunately, the manager—a large-built man—approached us and stated that the tables were for those who ordered food, even though the theatre was far from full. This interaction felt incredibly rude and created an uncomfortable atmosphere, making us feel unwelcome.

After we moved to another table, one of the staff members informed us that we needed to 'order' the table before sitting down. When I asked her to assist us with that, she did so very reluctantly. To make matters worse, the manager returned shortly after to question the staff member in front of us about why we were sitting there, which heightened our discomfort.

The overall demeanor of the staff seemed unhappy and on edge, which contributed to the negative experience. It's disheartening because I really enjoy this venue, but such interactions can overshadow the enjoyment of my visits. I sincerely hope that management takes this feedback to improve...

It’s very average. The meet and greet guy is curt and wholly unwelcoming, we definitely should’ve just 180’d and headed off elsewhere. The location is great, right in the Home cinema complex and the ground floor bar has some good beers but the restaurant really lets the place down. We had 3 meals, roasted tomato soup - it really wasn’t, it tasted like a tin of tomatoes that had been through a blender; Home Cheese and Bacon Burger - tough and tasteless; a lamb dish which was quite nice. Have eaten there twice now, a couple or so years apart, and it’s not improved at all....

We were a group of 10 today, and not impressed at all Food mediocre. Very very annoyed when the waiter came with the bill to state a service charge was being added to the bill on the workers lunch menu which we all had. This came as a huge shock. We had all given a tip. On close inspection of the menu it is stated on the menu in minute writing? We were expecting to pay £12.95. There is a board outside advertising Workers Lunch £12.95. No mention of service charge. Needless to say we won’t be...
