Great Pizza - Extremely Poor Service on a regular basis

I have visited here twice in recent weeks, the first time the waiter refused us entry on our Tastecards due to two of us having a Tastecard and the other 2 having deals on 02, and you are apparently not allowed to use 2 offers at the same time. I asked if we sat at different tables would we be able to continue and he replied "No, I have seen you all come in together.", we left as a result.

Re-visited here with a friend recently, again using a tastecard during lunchtime service, we were greeted by a seemingly grumpy waiter who sat us down and took our order. We asked if we could use our tastecard to which he confirmed. We had our food which was delicious and you could not fault, we then asked for the bill. A different gentleman approached us with the bill at full price and I kindly informed him we had a tastecard - he rudely replied "Right, next time you ask for the bill you need to tell me." - I responded stating that I had already informed is superior (communication is key).

Following the completion of the rude service, we went to pay with cash, only to be refused as they only had £20's in their 'floats'. I explained I did not have any cards with me and that I worked close by, they advised we would need to find another form of payment, but could not give us a single bit of change, luckily my friend kindly offered to pay on his credit card.

Good luck to anybody else who tries to use a tastecard or pay with cash during the rest of the lunchtime and...

This place is awful. We came here earlier this evening, our ‘server’ didn’t even give us a proper service. Hardly spoke to us, and when she did she would roll her eyes. At anything we would order. Even better was that she never came back to check on our food! The salad I had was extremely dry and poor. She left our plates on our tables, never even offering us any drinks or desserts and went to talk with her other unprofessional server friends. She was waltzing around the resteraunt doing whatever she wanted, even following another server over to go mess about with her in front of a customer whilst they paid. The continuous dirty looks from staff to other customers was awful. They all like to congregate in the corner by the kitchen, watching everyone eat their food talking about you, even their managers. Their manager thought it was. Okay to roll a cigarette in the resteraunt?? In a table in front of customers?? In plain sight then he goes and puts it in his mouth 😭 Another server I asked them to get me some sauces, they never even gave me them. Then one of the last servers on duty goes and starts swearing about he doesn’t want to run the food in the window because he wants to go have an f’ing cig. There were children there. Think of this coming from me, another server. Get your act in order. I mean, I’ve had bad service / but for all the staff to be acting this way?? Bang out of order. Never comingn again. I booked a table for me and my daughter to have a pre cinema meal. The restaurant was about 1/3 full. I have us 1hour to order snd eat and catch the film, with the cinema being a v short distance away. We waited 35 minutes for some doe balls and calamari. And this was after asking 10minutes earlier, and politely informing the waiter that we were catching a film at 8pm. The manager came over with the starter, so I told him our situation, and that we had ordered pizza, which we probably won’t have time to eat. No apology for the long wait for the starter, just a look of disappointment. I hate to see the service if the restaurant was busy. You know when you go to a pizza express that the food is pretty standard, however the service has always been ok....
