From the moment we entered, we were met with an unacceptable level of hostility from the manager on duty, Molly.
Upon arrival, my partner politely asked whether we could be seated at an alternative table that had just been vacated. Molly responded in a curt and dismissive manner, claiming that the table was reserved for other customers—which, as it turned out, was not true. Her tone was unnecessarily confrontational, and she raised her voice in front of both customers and staff, leaving us feeling embarrassed, intimidated, and distressed.
When we questioned the issue further, Molly told us that if we had a problem, we were welcome to leave. We found this response highly unprofessional and disrespectful, especially as we were simply requesting to move to an available table. A different staff member later confirmed that the table was indeed free and kindly relocated us without issue, which only highlighted the inaccuracy of Molly’s earlier claim.
During our meal, I attempted to get the attention of another staff member regarding a missing item from our order. Unfortunately, despite making direct eye contact, she deliberately ignored my request.
We had travelled from West Yorkshire specifically to dine at your establishment, expecting a pleasant experience. Instead, we left feeling deeply upset and disrespected. Had we not already paid, we would have seriously considered leaving.
We also raised our concerns with another manager in a green shirt, but she appeared disinterested and dismissive, offering no meaningful support or resolution.
We have been loyal customers of Nando's for years, and it is truly disheartening to have received such treatment. I hope you take this feedback seriously and investigate this matter accordingly. No customer should be made to feel...
Read moreWe were mocked due to being a same sex couple throughout our meal by the table behind us. The remarks being made were vile. We were very uncomfortable and thought we would try have a private word with the waiter until we realised he too was laughing at the remarks being made towards us. It was apparent that we were not welcome here. We finished up as quickly as we could and left. We paid £40 to be abused and what was supposed to be a nice meal turned into a 30 minute trip as we couldn’t get out quick enough. There was a white gentleman, possibly the manager, who was lovely but was busy elsewhere after we had arrived. Before leaving I visited the restroom, there was thick mould in the sink, hair, chewing gum and spit, there was aged urine which had become somewhat solidified around the sides of the urinals and the floor beneath, the smell was that of a bus station/public toilet, not that of a restaurant, funnily enough the cleaning sheet had been ticked to say it had been checked. Upon raising our concerns, we had a response from Paula, Regional Safety & QA Advisor, who excused the behaviour and the experience, accepted no responsibility and was nothing but cold and uninterested when emailing us back, she had the bare faced cheek to offer us £10 as a ‘goodwill gesture’ and made it clear that this was in no way compensation but for us to go and put it towards eating in a different restaurant. Basically gave us £10 to keep quiet. An absolutely terrible experience. See photos attached of the rest room. I think your upper management require some immediate training, the dis-interest and lack of empathy or consideration shown highlights just how little Nando’s...
Read moreAlways loved going to nandos but it's recently become difficult to get a table on a weekend in the evening, so I went a bit earlier on a sunday. Ordered a family platter but only half the order came to the table. I did complain and the manager Lewis came and was very friendly, he explained that there had been a mix up and got our food delivered to the table quickly.. as I understand mix ups happen I was still quite happy with the service regardless that half the food took a significant amount of time to come.. it wasn't until I ordered half a chicken for take away where the service went down hill I asked for the take away to be brought to the table but after waiting 10-15 mins and noticing that the queue to be seated was getting quite long I thought I would vacate my table so someone could be seated and wait at the front.. I went to the front to inform them not to take the food to the table as we had left it but the colleague on the till who looked like another manager didnt give me a chance she asked for my order number and before I could talk walked off.. I waited for her to come back and when she did she just shouted in my face 'the food isn't ready yet! You only ordered 10 minutes ago it's going to take atleast half an hour now go sit down and wait for your order number to be called' that is no way to talk to a customer especially when I just wanted to inform them that we had left the table... I could have created a scene if I wanted or spoke rudely back but she definitely put a...
