Lots to like about this new pub from Pomona Brewery, which complements their existing Gas Lamp pub in Manchester city centre really nicely.

So much choice of good drinks, from 4 casks to 10+ kegs, to non- and low-alcohol beers, to local and afar ciders, to a fantastic vermouth selection, to various wines and spirits Very friendly team working there Really nice space Minimal but handy snack options Dogs are welcome

It's too loud. They need to soften the acoustics much more than they currently do. If your voice doesn't carry, you'll spend your night shouting, because it's hard surfaces everywhere and the noise...

Pretty decent. A welcome craft beer addition to the area. Tasteful but not overstated interior. About 16 keg lines and 5 cask pumps. A great selection of beer (always seem to be at least 6 different pale ales, together with stouts, porters, wit and sours). Plenty of other drinks too. Food selection is limited to snacks (pork pies, pickled eggs and crisps), but that's OK - it's not trying to be a restaurant. Service each time has been welcoming. Only minor criticism is that, as a bar owned by Pamona Island Brewery, the beer line up is almost entirely their beer. It's great beer, too, but I always appreciate...

The barman at the Gas Lamp told us to try this as we were enjoying our pint of Pomona Island Olinga 4.3% pale. This new bar being run by Pomona Island Brewery. It opened the day before on Wed Oct 4th 2023. Lovely building next to Sam's Chop House. Up some steps into a large and swanky bar.
