This was my first visit with friends to Rosa's restaurant. I would like to point out that I knew when I booked the table that we had 2 hours to return it to the next customer. The first thing that caught my attention was that the waitress had a bowl hidden in a corner and was trying to sneakily eat out of it, which I found very unprofessional. When we ordered a large plate of starter to share and it was brought to our table we noticed that it was brought faster than the table was set (in plates). Of course while we were eating we decided to order the main course. After we finished, I knew we still had about 40-45 minutes to enjoy our dinner and leave the table free. Just as we were thinking of ordering dessert the waitress appeared and without a word put the bill on the table. At first we thought it was a mistake, of course we asked if it was our bill as none of us had asked for it. The waitress replied that it was our bill and that we had to pay to leave the table free. We found this rude and a total lack of professionalism (as we knew we still had time). When we paid the total bill in cash, the person in charge of the cash desk told us that they didn't accept cash, something that seemed out of place because it was not specified at any time when we made the reservation, on the website or on the menu. Fortunately we had our cards with us but it was a bit of a turn off. We didn't want to get into stupid conversations and we left the restaurant very unsatisfied, nobody even came to thank us and say goodbye. In short, the food was very good, very tasty, fresh, great balance of flavours, but the service we were given leaves much to be desired. I am utterly disappointed and appalled by the customer service. I heard great things about the restaurant and booked in with 4 of my friends for a stag do.
Upon arrival we werenât even greeted with so much as a smile or even a simple âhelloâ. Just shown to a table in the corner. The restaurant was cold and had a broken light in the toilet.
I wouldnât usually complain or leave a bad review but the waitress that served us was beyond rude⌠To the point where she got angry at us for not knowing exactly what we wanted straight away. After we were made to rush our orders she came over with the wrong starters. When we told her they werenât ours she insisted that they were and got annoyed with us. There wasnât even an apology when she realised she was wrong.
When we got our food and drinks everything was (practically) slammed down onto the table and we all felt nervous to ask for things that were missing. The food itself was okay but the starters were well overpriced. After we finished our meals I spoke to the manager (who was actually lovely and very understanding) and she explained that there have been on going issues with members of staff. It was so bad the table next to us complained about the same issues. It quite simply isnât a cheap restaurant so terrible customer service is completely unacceptable.

Firstly, the service was far from satisfactory. From the moment we arrived, the staff seemed indifferent and inattentive. Our order took an unusually long time to be taken, and when it finally was, we had to wait an excessive amount of time for our food to arrive. When it did, several items were incorrect and had to be sent back.
The quality of the food was another major issue. The dishes we received were poorly prepared and lacked the flavor and freshness we anticipated. disappointing given the positive reviews we had heard.
Moreover, I found the management's handling of our concerns to be inadequate. When we brought up these issues, the response was dismissive and unhelpful. This lack of customer care is alarming and reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole.
I understand that occasional mistakes can happen, but the combination of poor service, subpar food quality, and ineffective management has left a lasting negative impression. I hope that you take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to ensure a better experience for future patrons.
