A very mixed (but mostly negative) experience. We arrived at 11am on a Sunday in August 2023. There were loads of great options on the menu which we were really impressed with, and the booths each had their own TV which again I was impressed with. Orders were then not taken for almost half an hour - we were somewhat thankful for getting a bit of extra time to order given how great the menu options were, but half an hour was a bit ridiculous. No drinks arrived for another half an hour - so we were sat with no drinks for an hour total. It was the women’s World Cup final in 2023 but it wasn’t packed out with customers and we could see empty tables. I imagine it was busier than a normal Sunday at 11am, but being a sports bar you’d have thought they’d have made provisions for more staff once they knew England was going to be in the final. Drinks finally arrived, which included three iced coffees but we noticed the milk seemed off. They took them away and made us new ones, but the waitress didn’t look shocked or horrified that we’d been served out of date milk. Once we’d asked how long it would be they did say they’d been telling people at the door that it would be an hour for food (we had not been told this), and they did go to check once we said it had been over an hour and food came promptly after that (but still an hour and 15 mins after we arrived). The food was genuinely good and we were very happy with it. I had the eggs for “daise” with smashed avocado with added smoked salmon and I would definitely recommend that - the portion size was great and eggs poached perfectly. I also tried a couple of the tater tots and felt they were done really well. Prices overall were pretty much what I’d expect. While we were eating we did ask for a jug of tap water which never arrived but we just didn’t bother asking again at that point. Overall it was a good job we were there to watch an entire football match with 13 minutes of added time because the whole experience seemed to take almost the full match. As nice as the food was, I don’t think anything is worth such poor service.

Alright, buckle up because I'm about to sing the praises of The Shack Manchester! Just experienced what I can only describe as a religious experience in the form of their Salt and Pepper Chicken Burger, and I'm still recovering from the sheer deliciousness. Let's start with the star of the show: that burger. Forget everything you thought you knew about chicken burgers. The Shack has elevated it to an art form. The chicken was unbelievably tender and juicy, coated in that iconic, addictive salt and pepper seasoning that hits every single taste bud. It was crispy where it needed to be, succulent throughout, and the flavour? Out of this world. Seriously, every bite was a little explosion of savoury, peppery perfection. This isn't just the best burger I've had in Manchester; dare I say, it's the best burger I've ever encountered. And then there's the side of Mac and Cheese. Oh. My. Goodness. Creamy, cheesy, and utterly comforting. It was the perfect partner to the punchy flavours of the burger, offering a smooth and decadent counterpoint. Each spoonful was pure indulgence, the kind that makes you close your eyes and sigh contentedly. The Shack itself has a great vibe – relaxed, welcoming, and the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease. The service was spot on too, friendly and efficient. Honestly, if you haven't been to The Shack Manchester yet, you are seriously missing out. Drop what you're doing and go get yourself that Salt and Pepper Chicken Burger with a side of Mac and Cheese. Your taste buds will thank you. This isn't just a meal; it's an experience. Five stars doesn't even feel like enough! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+

Absolutely delicious food, cute place and lovely ambience. The brisket toast is the best tasting food I've had in the UK in a long time. Full of flavour and the flavours all complemented each other - the tender beef which was beautifully spiced, rocket (not too much or overwhelming!), Sriracha, poached eggs, spring onions and sourdough toast were the perfect combination. Divine. My husband had the buffalo chicken waffles (which were the reason we ventured out to Shack in the first place - he woke up with a hankering for chicken waffles!) and they were also delicious (though I still think mine was the winner 😉). Only reason one star is lost is the service was super slow, through no fault of the waiters - they were all super and running around helping a very busy restaurant and doing their best, but it was obvious with the amount of people that they were very understaffed. Everything else... Absolutely fantastic! Definitely worth the wait.

We came last weekend for bottomless brunch. The atmosphere was great when we walked in with live music on, however when we were directed to our table it became apparent the music was far too loud. We couldn't hear anybody at our own table which was a shame. Our table was stuffed between two others, clearly obvious they had overbooked the space for the amount of people being crammed in.

I paid the extra amount for the option to have pornstar martinis and mixers which was nice of them to accomodate since the rest of the table wanted the standard option. Other than this the rest of the experience fell pretty flat.

It was clearly understaffed for the amount of bookings they had taken. We waited 30 minutes for our first drinks to arrive and when we asked to put our next order in straight away since the wait time was clearly long they declined. It took around 30 minutes every time after this, understandably because there was only two bartenders and two waiting in staff for at least 40 people.

The food finally arrived... or so we thought. Most of our table had their food placed in front of them before the staff realised they had given the food to the wrong table, it should have gone to the one next to us. I understand this is a simple mistake however some of our girls had started to eat the food they were given. When the staff came over the explain the error and ask if anybody had started eating (2 of our group said yes) they still took all the food and gave it to the other table. As somebody who has worked in hospitality myself I know never to give food to a table if it has been touched by another table due to food contamination concerns. We explained this to them but they said it was okay. It was a simple mistake that could have been extremely dangerous had there been any allergies ect.

By the end of the bottomless we had had around 6 drinks which is increadibly dissapointing since they all came in the smallest martini glasses and we were waiting between 20 to 30 minutes per round. We asked for the bill and it took around 30 minutes to come and a further 20 minutes to find the card machine to pay. By this point any buzz from the drinks had gone and the enjoyment was over. All in all I will not be coming back here, the pornstars were clearly either on draft or box produced so were not even worth the extra cost. The two servers did what they could however it was clearly understaffed and definately created a...

Visited here on Saturday for my friends birthday and we had the bottomless brunch, we was so disappointed after really looking forward to this for months! First of all, the service was shockingly slow, it wasn’t that busy for a Saturday… and we were waiting at least 15/20 minutes between drinks, and we were constantly sat with empty glasses, which isn’t the service you expect on a “bottomless” brunch. I’ve done several bottomless brunches before and this was definitely the slowest and definitely was not worth the money, considering it was £40pp as we had chosen to get the cocktails but you could only actually have 2 cocktails out of the whole cocktail menu… There were only 5 of us and much larger tables were receiving their drinks much quicker than us and receiving better service all together. There was also a lot of staff on so it’s not as if they were understaffed because whilst we were sat with empty glasses trying to get someone’s attention, several of the girls were stood at the bar just chatting and didn’t look our way. Once we had complained about the service, one girl in particular with brown hair who I believe was the “bookings manager” was sat at a table with another girl and she made us all feel so uncomfortable, she was constantly giving us dirty looks and pointing at us and talking about us with other members of staff which was just so unprofessional… myself and my friends all work in customer service and I’m a manager and if any of my staff treated customers the way she was I would be very disappointed and it’s just unacceptable. We couldn’t fault one girl who was blonde and Irish, she was so lovely and apologised for the service and offered us 2 more drinks as our bottomless had ended and and we had only had 5 drinks in 90 mins. We also spoke to another supervisor who was male but extremely unhelpful and essentially just said we had got the wrong end of the stick and that the brunette girl didn’t have a problem with us but she clearly did as she wouldn’t stop staring at us giving us dirty looks for no reason at all. I’ve also read other reviews stating that the girls give off “mean girl vibes” which I totally agree with, we couldn’t wait to leave because of how uncomfortable she was making us. Will not be returning and definitely don’t...
