This is my review of The Flat Baker Christmas Markets stall: I sniffed out their location in Piccadilly Gardens…ideally it should be in a location with more space, but I’m sure they weren’t anticipating on their offerings going viral and being THE STALL of the Christmas Markets. It’s sadly in a bit of a bottle neck however there is a rigid queue system in place…I went on a Friday morning around 11:30am just as the stalls had been open maybe 30 minutes. There was a short line but the ladies operating the stall had it down to a military operation…I think the fact they only have 3 items and 2 toppings available is why it’s so successful and can get the queue down so quickly.

I ordered the cinnamon roll with dulce de leche and biscoff and my gosh it was a thing of beauty…it was sweet but not overly sickly like some dulce de leche can be, it was very well balanced. The roll itself was flakey and buttery and cinnamon rich. It was a terrific flavour combo and I am dying to go back and try their pistachio filled croissant!

I’ve also been to their home bakery too and enjoyed their summer offering of pistachio soft serve iceream in a cruffin! Also a delicious delight!

The Flat Baker is definitely worth the hype and one of the most hard working bakeries in Manchester. These people deserve all...

I live in the neighborhood and I normally Just get cheese balls or the hand and cheese croissants. Don’t care much for the overly sweet pastries. With that being said you guys might want to really try and open just a little bit earlier. I see people who would normally buy your pastries, and there are workers there to sell them but they refuse of it’s just little before 8am (

Heard about you from @eatingwithtodd and as you're only 5 minutes from work, it'd be rude not to pop over. Glad I did despite the 20 minutes wait in line. What's that all about BTW? Get a better system for service instead of one person at the window As one lost customer who was walking away stated 'I don't care how good it is, I ain't queuing for over 20 minutes for it' Whoops. However I did wait and it was good. Had a nice flat white, a ham and cheese croissant and raspberry and custard doughnuts. Also the cinnamon bun. Not all in one go. That'd be greedy šŸ˜€ Apart from not being keen on the custard filling in the doughnut the rest were delicious, especially the croissant. Very tasty and filling. The cinnamon bun was saved till the next day and still tasted fresh. I'd recommend them. Will try something different next time and hopefully the queue won't be so long. (Get...

After reading raving reviews, I was curious. So i came here today. I was a little skeptical at first, i mean pastry is always gonna be good right? Wow, it exceeded my expectations! I couldnt tell u why exactly this place was good but it was just so fresh with good ingredients! Im not a super sweet person so i opted for the ham and cheese croissant and pizza roll. Both were tasty but the pizza roll, i was literally having foodgasms! Lol. The bread roll was so soft filled with juicy tomatoes and melted cheese. Def recommend it here šŸ‘ I'm gonna take the plunge next time if im in a sweeter mood and try the kinder croissant....or maybe it will the pizza roll again lol Well done to u all at The Flat Baker, hope u will be winning some awards šŸ™

I had some bakery from here which were nice. The most disappointing is the coffee. The kind you get from Starbucks. Staff don’t seem to be well informed on the coffee side of the business as much as they’re probably are on the bakery. Nowadays you’ll find a small card on the coffee grinder saying exactly where the beans come from and what roast they are. It helps customers decide whether they want to purchase a coffee from a said place or not. I genuinely thought Ā£3 for a coffee is fairly priced because there are no actual indoor seatings but it turned out it’s not something that you really invest in. Safe to say I couldn’t drink it and got one from round the corner. Waste of Ā£3 but I learnt not to go cheap lol
