This is my review of The Flat Baker Christmas Markets stall: I sniffed out their location in Piccadilly Gardens…ideally it should be in a location with more space, but I’m sure they weren’t anticipating on their offerings going viral and being THE STALL of the Christmas Markets. It’s sadly in a bit of a bottle neck however there is a rigid queue system in place…I went on a Friday morning around 11:30am just as the stalls had been open maybe 30 minutes. There was a short line but the ladies operating the stall had it down to a military operation…I think the fact they only have 3 items and 2 toppings available is why it’s so successful and can get the queue down so quickly.
I ordered the cinnamon roll with dulce de leche and biscoff and my gosh it was a thing of beauty…it was sweet but not overly sickly like some dulce de leche can be, it was very well balanced. The roll itself was flakey and buttery and cinnamon rich. It was a terrific flavour combo and I am dying to go back and try their pistachio filled croissant!
I’ve also been to their home bakery too and enjoyed their summer offering of pistachio soft serve iceream in a cruffin! Also a delicious delight!

Get a better system for service instead of one person at the window As one lost customer who was walking away stated 'I don't care how good it is, I ain't queuing for over 20 minutes for it' Whoops. However I did wait and it was good. Had a nice flat white, a ham and cheese croissant and raspberry and custard doughnuts. Also the cinnamon bun. Not all in one go. That'd be greedy 😀 Apart from not being keen on the custard filling in the doughnut the rest were delicious, especially the croissant. Very tasty and filling. The cinnamon bun was saved till the next day and still tasted fresh. I'd recommend them. Will try something different next time and hopefully the queue won't be so long. (Get...
