The Pasta Poet — Restaurant in Manchester

My first time ordering from the Pasta Poet. We really appreciate the generous portion and the fact that it opens late night! I had the creamy garlic pasta with prawns and it was delicious, only thing is I wish the prawns were whole. But taste wise it hits the spot. Pasta was cooked al dente, texture was perfect.

My husband had the Florentine heritage beef ragu. The texture was good, but there was quite a strong, musty lamb-like smell coming from the beef, which made it not enjoyable and I don’t think we’ll be ordering this one again 😔 I do cook pasta a lot and beef ragu is one of our favourite, so I’m not sure if that’s part of the cooking style or from the beef itself, but if this could be improved (I believe it will) it would definitely be a 10/10. The rest of the experience was lovely and I would recommend.

You don't understand how long I've been searching for a fully HALAL Italian place in Manchester that does real, authentic Italian food and these guys absolutely smashed it. Ordered the beef lasagna that came nicely presented and a very hearty portion, making it worth the price. It was still hot by the time it arrived and tasted delicious, the sauce rich and savoury. I ordered two pasta orders, one of the creamy one and one lamb one, I haven’t had the lamb one but the creamy one has been extremely nice. The small little note on my orders bag was so sweet in response to my note on the uber eats order where I said it was my first order. Totally deserve 5 stars just for the fact you guys made me smile. I’ve been quite unwell and so I couldn’t cook today and was hungry and wanted some authentic pasta and that’s what I received
