Turkish Grill (the Kebab Lab) — Restaurant in Manchester

This place DOES NOT deserve its high 4 star rating. I suspect a lot of them are fake reviews left by the owners. I'm giving it two stars instead of 1 because the staff was nice enough, however the experience was terrible.

We tried to sit there and eat relaxed however, we couldn't, because 2 minutes after we came in, a group of loud Eastern European men and another group of loud Somalis came in. It was really loud shouting throughout the whole place and really uncomfortable, but we couldn't leave because we had already paid for our food. So we just had to sit through it - the staff didn't care about it at all.

Also, the place is NOT clean. You feel very unhygienic eating there. The food is NOT what you would expect from the "Turkish cuisine". It just tastes like any other cheap Pakistani food... except it's NOT cheap. Especially the "Turkish" branded food items which are up to £10 - pretty expensive for a takeaway.

Finally, they DON'T have any toilets there or any way to wash your hands, which is ridiculous because your hands WILL get really greasy. I got up to ask to wash my hands, but the man apparently already knew what I wanted. Before I could even open my mouth he said, "Sorry bruda, but there's no chance to wash your hands. We only have tissues"... which he handed to me. Pretty pathetic really, especially when it's literally not just a "takeaway", but an actual restaurant with seats. How much is it gonna cost you to put in a little sink with soap at the side? An...

The great customer service carries the lacklusture quality of food served in this Turkish restaurant.

While the options might be plenty, the dishes served are unfortunately not as delightful.

The quality of the food was really sub-par.. wasn’t the best. I hate leaving food, but I couldn’t even finish the starters, let alone pack the main meal for later as it just wasn't good. I didn’t even finish the drink. The passion storm drink I ordered did not taste good nor was it made from real fruits, as the server claimed.

Dishonest staff member. I came on Wednesday 23rd Feb 22 just after 1pm there were two staff I asked the shorter guy for peri peri chicken he said yes. But made me shawarma wrap instead I saw him making shwarma so I asked him just to confirm is it peri chicken you making for my order he said:((yeh you forgot your order bro, it is peri chicken)) . but when gave it to me and When I opened it I found it normal shawarma.I understand and it is fine not to have some items on menu maybe you ran out of stock for some reason that's fair, just be honest and say it I would've asked for something else but don't try to outsmart your customers just so you can't be bothered to make a right sale respectfully.
