All I can say is I will never be visiting again. As the promoted place to eat on the MOSI website (which also links to their menu) there is no mention that hot food is ONLY served on the weekends! I had planned to eat dinner at the cafe and then head into the museum for a few hours or learning and play with my 4 year old niece and 1 year old son. When trying to place my order at the till the cashier then informed me that no hot food was available. When I informed her that this is not mentioned on their website she didn’t seem bothered and gave a sarcastic sorry. I was annoyed and looked to see what cold items were available as I had two hungry children. My son is lactose intolerant and their online menu states that they have food options for anyone with allergies. When I asked if there were any cold food options for children with milk allergies, surprise surprise the answer was no. I had to buy a £6 adult salad box which only had a few items suitable for my son to eat. Read moreThe cafe is attached to the Museum of Science and Industry and is located just next to the entrance, adjacent to the museum store. It is spacious and nicely decorated in an industrial theme. There are cosy sofas, high chairs and regular chairs. There's a pseudo outdoor area; it catches most of the sun but is still sheltered from wind and rain. Hint : maybe if you don’t want people to use them dont put them next to free sugar or put little sticker saying you can’t use them.
