Absolute rubbish AVOID

Absolutely appalling and would like somebody to contact me further about this visit. My mother in law paid £92 for this meal and quite frankly shouldn’t have paid a single penny! We came as a table of 8 all ready for our holiday and looking forward to a bite to eat. My partner is severely allergic to eggs and nuts. The lady serving us came over with an iPad and said he was allowed the burger, then corrected herself as it said may contain egg. (Didn’t specify which part of the burger contained this so he had to leave it!) all she could say was ‘this is all they give us we don’t know what part contains the allergen’ absolutely ridiculous when it’s life threatening!! I then suggested he have a cooked breakfast just without the egg to which he agreed and ordered. We waited a long time just for drinks, I’m talking 20 minutes just for some water. When the water finally came out the waitress brought one tiny jug for our whole table- taking the p*!! She then brought out the teas with no milks or sugar and disappeared. Another waitress appeared and had to take our whole order again as the other waitress had messed it up. Time was ticking and our flight was getting closer. One meal came out one by one with 15 minute intervals in between, my partners came out with no toast, the waitress went back then was seen serving another table, my dads meal came out with piping hot HARD sausages and absolutely stone cold egg!! Inedible!! My partners sausages and bacon were also hard. Still no milk or sugars for the teas, we decided to leave it. We had 10 minutes before our flight and had to put the food in boxes, they all ended up in the bin was totally cold and inedible. My partner was throwing up all night because he just have eaten something with egg!! We then found out the waitress serving us was new and it was her first day, why was she left with such a big table on her own!! And with someone with an allergen! Paid £92 for this rubbish! Not happy!! £4 extra for toast too by the way which the waitress is quite clearly embarrassed to mention! Do yourself a favour and eat in Wetherspoons probably better quality...

Giraffe - simply the best airport experience I have ever had ! You tend to pass through an airport in a hurry and do not actually get to settle down and relax - we had a choice of the neighbouring W’spoons or the tranquil environment of Giraffe - a look at the food made our minds up - but we had a few hours to pass before our flight - so we sat , chatted , watched and observed - heck this is a different experience - Pauline the GM was totally inspiring - not to us but to her team - We also asked who the people were who were sat behind us - it was the area team - and they were amazing treating all of the colleagues with total respect - And then we watched , ate and drank a few coffees - and wow everyone was so friendly - and not just to us - but to their fellow colleagues - what a great place to work — which equals a great place to dine . The food was fantastic - the service first class and the smiles we saw made it historic - So please take a tip - do not follow the herd to WSpoons but enjoy a great experience . 100% -

Georgia was also an inspirational lady - the care and support she gave to her colleagues was warm and endearing - and most importantly genuine .

I should also mention that the food was firstly brought really swiftly - and was restaurant quality and not airport quality . Great flavour - great freshness and top quality - these people care .

I had the most remarkable experience at Giraffe on Birmingham Airport. We ordered our food and drinks, but after just a few minutes, we realized we were out of time—our flight was on its final call. In a rush, I explained the situation and said we wouldn’t be able to eat, that we just wanted to pay and leave immediately.

The lovely lady who was serving us (unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name) was incredibly understanding. She quickly offered to pack everything for us to take away and literally ran to make it happen. We waited a short moment, but realizing the urgency, I mentioned to another staff member that we had to leave. This wonderful lady asked for our gate number and assured us they would catch us there.

And they did! Not only was our food beautifully packed, but they also thought of everything—cutlery, napkins, all included. The food itself was absolutely delicious, and the thoughtful service left me completely in awe.

From now on, Giraffe will be my go-to place at Birmingham Airport. Thank you for ensuring we made our flight (just in time!) and for making sure we weren’t hungry. Exceptional service, and I couldn’t recommend it...
