Me and my friend went to grab a quick drink before going into the arena and were totally disgusted by the staff. From overhearing, it was coming close to their closing hours as they complained about the job as we and other customers stood waiting for our drinks. Seeing me and my friend as obviously being vulnerable, one guy took this opportunity to just be patronising and obnoxious, waiting for us to tell our order to another member of staff who was writing down our order into the til. This guy would grab a cup from the stack whilst still staring at us thinking he was being big and funny. When they came round to making my drink, this same guy began harassing me and making sexual puns to another member of staff aiming towards me as he asked if I wanted cream on my drink and obnoxiously whispering āyouād give her creamā. To my delight and to fully show them how big headed they were being, they confidently handed me a cup āhereās your orderā however, I could see my cup on the other end of the counter with my name clearly written on it. Making them re-do it all over again, and passing me the cup with NO apologies, I took the cup and decided not to thank them. Iām only really writing this because I myself work but at a much younger age than them and can thankfully say I am a lot more mature, knowing well that this is very bad customer service and would never dare be so rude to customers. I hope these people get fired from their jobs very soon and work somewhere that doesnāt involve talking to people šš¼ Ps my drink tasted very bad and was not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSorry, but this one was not a high point for me. I'm a regular at Starbucks all over the place, in the UK and occasionally the USA, and I love it. However, this one was a poor experience. To be fair, I hope this was the young lady's first day, because she had no idea at all. She had never heard of the drink I wanted, which we had enjoyed the day before in Starbucks in Lakeside in Essex. She asked a colleague, who didn't know and then had to rush off and ask a manager. Apparently, they don't DO that one. When I asked for my tea "in real china," with my usual cheeky grin, she got really confused. She made me explain what "china" is and then looked at me like I was stupid and told me that they only have cardboard cups there. My daughter fared even worse, she tried to pay with Vitality points, as she usually does in Lakeside, and after about 5 minutes of (figuratively) smacking her head against a wall, paid cash. I was not surprised to see people peeling off the queue and going elsewhere. The only reason I had waited out the queue was because 4 or 5 people in front of me left. I love Starbucks to bits, but this was bad, I hope it's better when I go there again...
Read moreWent today to get a small latte as I had 15 mins to spare before my train. I waited till there was only 2 mins till my train was departing. In frustration I had to leave my coffee which so disappointing as I waited almost 15 minutes and £5.60 down the drain. Understandably there was only two members of staff and had few coffees to make however one staff member instead of helping the other staff member making the drinks just stood there watching. Very disappointed with the service and was unable to even ask for a refund of a voucher of how long I waited and still no...
