I recently visited the TDC and have some mixed feelings about the experience. Let's delve into the details.
Right off the bat, I must commend the establishment for its accessible location. The shop is easy to find and offers plenty of parking, which is always a big plus in my book. This convenience factor makes it an easy choice for a quick stop or a casual meet-up.
The staff at the tea shop were generally helpful, always ready to assist whenever needed. However, it seems they could benefit from additional training. It would be great to see them equipped with more knowledge about the different varieties of tea and how each should be brewed to reach its best potential. This would also help them provide more personalized and informed recommendations to customers who might be unsure about what to order.
One of the significant drawbacks I experienced was the long waiting times. It's important to note that the best tea often requires patience to brew, but the waiting time felt excessive. Quick service is a crucial aspect of any successful food and beverage establishment, so this is an area where the shop needs to improve.
The inconsistency in the taste of the tea was another issue. Some days, the tea was brewed just right – aromatic, flavorful, and soul-satisfying. On other occasions, however, it tasted flat and unimpressive. Consistency is key in the F&B industry, and I believe the shop needs to work on this to ensure that every cup of tea served meets a high standard.
On a brighter note, some of the food items were delightful. The taste, presentation, and portion sizes were commendable. If the tea were as consistently good, it would indeed make for a more satisfying overall experience.
In conclusion, while the TDC has several strengths, it also has some areas where improvement is necessary. With some extra staff training and a focus on consistency and customer service, I believe it has the potential to become a go-to spot for tea lovers in the community. As it stands now, I would rate the experience as...
Read moreTDC Milton Keynes. This is our 4th or 5th time visiting this place but to be very very honest, we always had a horrible experience here. I don’t even know why we go back but unfortunately this time again, we decided to visit again as we were craving for some desi food but for sure never again. The service is so slow, takes them ages to bring you the food even though we have been told it’s always pre cooked and frozen so all they have to do it heat. We did mention before ordering to ensure food is warmed properly as sometimes they don’t even heat up previously made frozen food (nihari) evenly as it’s always cold in the middle. When the food arrived at the counter, there were plain naans, we paid extra for 2 roghani naan so how come all 4 were the same?? 3 out of 4 naans were burnt, we told the chef these were burnt and to our amazement she said that’s how they are meant to be. We are foodies and always travel far for food even to other towns and we know what a good naan and curry should look like. Your curries don’t even come with any garnishing i.e. chillies ginger which is a must for any authentic haleem or nihari. We asked for chilli for topping and the gave us whole chillies, not even sliced. There was one slice of lemon. How can 3 people have one slice of lemon? Honestly these items should come with the dish ordered without even requesting and then constantly have to ask for while the food gets cold. We have decided to not go back again after this experience ever, worst service you will ever receive, the management doesn’t even care as they never improve their services, same issue every time, so this is it from us, no more business from us and I hope others can save themselves from...
Read moreI recently visited TDC and unfortunately had a highly unsatisfactory experience. The service was awful, with a staff member displaying unacceptable behavior. Despite placing a straightforward order for two items, the wait time exceeded expectations.
Not only did the staff member provide inaccurate information about the preparation time, but his rude behavior when questioned about the delay was unacc . The lack of professionalism, including throwing the order on the table, was entirely inappropriate.
I attempted to contact the manager, but the phone lines were consistently busy. I hope this message reaches the management, as it is crucial to address such incidents promptly. The employee in question, identifiable by the turban he wears, he definitely needs training in customer service and interpersonal skills.
I believe in constructive feedback for improvement, and I sincerely hope that TDC takes this opportunity to enhance its service standards. As a customer, I value the reputation of establishments, and it is my hope that steps will be taken to prevent such incidents from reoccurring.
As running business I am sure management knows how much word of mouth and social media impact these days….
Extremely disappointed and will never recommend TDC again due to the unacceptable behaviour of the staff in...
