I visited a few months ago and received the pork spring rolls when I ordered the vegan. The manager? confirmed I did in fact receive the meat ones, this was apologised for and rectified on the day, I didn’t make a fuss or complaint and moved on with my meal no problems.
However last week I again received the pork spring rolls, I asked the waitress and she said because they are “not cut” they are vegan ones. This didn’t really seem to answer my question as she did not acknowledge the filling or even look at it. I decided not to continue with the spring rolls because in my gut I knew it was meat.
I emailed Pho and asked for a side by side comparison photo. They confirmed that it sounds like I got the vegan ones from my description. BUT if someone is serving pork spring rolls instead of vegetable and doesn’t know or doesn’t care then why would they cut them?
Upon receiving the image which I will attach for future customer reference, it confirmed I did in fact receive the pork ones and so did my friend (who couldn’t actually tell she was eating pork so I’m going to assume other people have ate them unknowingly as well).
Not only has this happened to me twice, it has also happened to one other person I know of (not my friend, a 3rd person) at the same branch and there are several reviews stating they’ve received prawn crackers/incorrect starters instead of vegan.
The description given in the email reply of each spring roll: Pork fatter and shorter, cut Vegan thinner and longer
Per the image the vegetable ones also have a slightly different vegetable mix.
As for the rest of the food, it wasn’t my choice because I personally think the food is quite bland, the hot and spicy broth is most definitely not 🤷♀️
Per the response I did not send them an image of my food as I did not take one due to wanting to enjoy my time with friend I do not see often, but I did attach some images of the pork spring rolls I found online and a description it was filled with little chewy bland meaty pieces like said image, which is how I personally view pork having ate meat in the past. I was not going to leave a review but the other responses on here make it clear this is an ongoing issue with this branch. I did receive a voucher which I have passed on to my friend as I will not...
Read moreI visited Pho for my birthday, hoping for a pleasant dining experience, but unfortunately, it was far from that. When I asked a simple question about the menu — specifically about whether the brisket and mushrooms were included in the pho noodles option — the waitress seemed taken aback, which was unusual but I didn’t think much of it at the time.
After we placed our order, the service took a turn. We waited nearly 20 minutes without being able to get anyone's attention for basic requests like salt or a drink. My partner finished his meal while I was still waiting, hungry and frustrated. There was no check-in from the staff, no "how's everything?" or any attempt to ensure we had everything we needed. Eventually, I decided to take my food to go.
When it came time to pay, the waitress left the card machine on the table and walked off without saying a word. We were confused, as we're used to the waitress confirming payment or waiting for us to tap our card. We couldn’t even ask for a receipt, as she didn’t give us the chance. The lack of attention and professionalism was surprising, and unfortunately, it left me with the impression that the staff just couldn’t be bothered.
This was by far the worst service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I can only hope they improve their customer service, as the food alone can't make up for the lack of care...
Read moreThis was my first time going to Pho, and it was more than I expected. The restaurant was so clean and not over crowded. The atmosphere, lighting, music was so good and relaxing. After a disastrous day I had it was just what I needed. The staff were absolutely amazing. Alex and the team of waiters and waitress were so polite, friendly and welcoming. Alex gave an amazing welcoming and service to my friend and I. You could feel and see the team were kind towards each other the way laughed and joked with each other which always make people feel so much better when walking into a restaurant. I don't even know what to say about the food.... The chicken wings we and crispy rolls we had as starters were so good I wanted to order another round. And the fact that we got so many in a portion was great. Perfect for sharing. The main we had a rice bowl and chargrilled chicken and a 3 mushroom noodle soup with chicken broth. We ask for extra plates to share and the waitress was more than happy to accommodate. The food tasted so fresh and delicious. And so healthy too. We were so full after our meal that we didn't realise that we were the last people in the restaurant and the fact that the staff did not push us or rush us to leave was so refreshing to see. They were happy, friendly, kind. This restaurant and it's staff deserve 10 starts not 5. Highly, highly...
