This pub is the diamond of Newark. No, not a good range of beers, a comprehensive range. There's quality well kept cask, draught, bottle and tins with a strong emphasis on craft beer. There's cheap local descent guest beer right through to exotic Belgian abbey beer. Most had a drink in price and a sensible take away price. I was surprised to find a good cheeseboard on the bar for me to help myself. Not good enough? Read on... The pub will allow and even welcome you to order a takeaway or bring your own food. To assist, there's a rack of menus from the nearby takeaways. We had pizza delivered to the front right room.
