I don't like to publicly make a complaint unless I have to but the establishment has not bothered to respond to my feedback given privately. On entering the cafe I was immediately told you weren't serving hot food, which whilst wasn't the best welcome, was at least informativeI Thereafter good customer service was generally lacking unfortunately. The main concern came when I realised my soya latte was curdled and I approached the staff to advise this. The complaint was handled poorly, not even a simple apology was offered. The comment, well "the milk has an 8 month expiry date" showed a lack of food knowledge and was irrelevant. The lack of proper response to my feedback made for quite an embarrassing experience and I would be disappointed with my staff's performance if they treated my customers concern as inadequately. I paid in full despite not being able to finish my coffee, as I wasn't offered an alternative. I hope that this is just a staff training issue and can be resolved so any future problems your customers experience can be handled better and appropriately. I am not asking for a refund, but a simple apology, would have been appreciated as I know that mistakes happen. It's how it's handled is the key. On a positive note, the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting The Bean and Vine in Newark for breakfast, and I must say it was a delightful experience. Located in a charming centre of the city, this cafe offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease.
One of the highlights of The Bean and Vine is their extensive breakfast menu. From classic staples like eggs and bacon to more unique options, there's something to suit every palate. The quality of the food exceeded my expectations, with fresh ingredients and flavorful combinations that left me satisfied and eager to return.
In terms of ambiance, The Bean and Vine strikes the perfect balance between comfortable and trendy. The cozy seating arrangements and warm lighting create a welcoming environment, while the modern decor adds a contemporary touch. It's an ideal spot for both casual meetups with friends and quiet mornings alone with a cup of coffee and a good book. They also allow dogs which is a massive...
Read moreOver priced pathetic meal. Ordered the 'Open Ploughmans with salad' which consisted of what appeared to be 3 slices of packet shop brought ham, 3 small slices of cheese, rocket lettuce, onion chutney and 4 thinly slices of tomato on two slices of ciabatta bread. And 3 small blobsof mustard. £8.50. A small portion of fries for £4.10. And a glass of d.coke for £4.90. When I asked where they brought the ham from the chef confirmed it was butchers ham. It tasted watery, definitely not ham from a butchers. I took it home for the cat. Used to be a regular customer 5 years ago, told the staff I certainly won't be going there again. Would not recommend to anyone to waste their money...
