This place is absolutely fantastic if you want something different in Newcastle. My partner had m watching Korean videos during lockdown and she was overjoyed when she found out about this place. The food was beautiful and we would highly recommend the place. I am a bit of a typical man and like big portions, this place didn't disappoint and I left wobbling down the street to my car. This place is best got to by foot as parking is slim, we came in the late afternoon to avoid any rush and it was quiet but still no parking. We had a variety of choices across the menu and with the eat out to help out it was very very reasonable. To drink we had pear juice and the watermelon soda which was simply Divine, I think the best word to describe these is refreshing, and not like a can of coke type, this was unreal. This felt exactly the same as when I lived in Korea and went to a family run place. The food is definitely authentic, perhaps tweaked a little too suit English eating styles, but the flavours are perfect. I had a good chat with the Korean staff in Korean and just felt completely transported back to Seoul. I had the spicy chicken rice bowl(덮밥) and green tea (현미녹차), I also had the Korean kimchi pancakes (김치전) not pictured and it was perfect. I'm just really not sure about the hype of this place? I tried...I really tried to like this place but after giving it a try for the 5th time now (always trying different dishes with the hope I'll like the new ones), also even supporting them during the pandemic with buying kimchi from them, I can now safely say it is not for me. I love Korean food and had Korean many times that were outstanding compared to these dishes. The kimchi is very overfermented for my liking and the dishes are overall just average.
