This is definitely going to be a favourite My family have been pining for delicious French style croissants & Pain au Chocolate for years and Pink Lane Bakery has performed in style I bought my grandson and I a delicious sausage roll yesterday but prompt this morning at 8am I was in the queue for my croissants & pain au choc, warm from the oven! They were SOOOOO lovely I got a fresh baguette too which is as nice as Fenwick’s or Sarlat Marketplace There’s the added bonus of a great little stall outside selling organic fruit and vegetables, like having Out Of This World back again 🄰

Been meaning to visit this bakery for ages having passed when at work - took a stroll here in the drizzle to get coffees and cakes and we ate them in the archway that used to take you through to what used to be the old fire station that is now the bakery. Both the coffee and the gingerbread slice and the raspberry and almond muffin were spot on. The staff were friendly and it was good to see the items being freshly made in the open plan layout inside. Will definitely be popping back next time I'm in the area - have to try the pain au chocolat croissants next šŸ˜‹

I’m a huge fan of their city centre store. Lovely to come across this one in Gosforth! A fantastic bakery with a range of savoury and sweet pastries beautifully displayed. I love their almond croissant but decided to go for the blueberry cheesecake danish, highly recommend! Prices are very reasonable for the quality. Staff are very friendly. No seats, it’s literally a grab and go place, does offer coffee and other drinks. A great idea to grab a pastry and head to Gosforth Central Park a short walk away to enjoy!

I visited on a very wet Saturday morning with a friend. It wasn't too hard to find - it's set well back but is clearly visible from the road - and its location was confirmed by a queue of eight or so people. Service was efficient so we moved up the line quite quickly. The shopfront is bright and welcoming, and the on-view bakery beyond the counter contributes to the eye-appeal, but with more than a whiff of Hipster about it. This made me a little suspicious, but nevertheless I bought an apricot Danish and a couple of pastƩis de nata. I've been a regular visitor to Denmark, have lived there for a couple of years, and I do know what texture a real Danish Danish ought to have; this apricot custard Danish was heavier in texture than I'm used to, but it was crisp and full of lush custard, and was without a doubt the nicest Danish I have eaten this side of the North Sea - ever. The custard in the pastƩis de nata was a little more cooked than I would have liked but maybe that's just my taste, and anyway the pastry was good. I really should try some of their bread next time, that's the real test of a good bakery, but this was a Saturday morning, and I could only see...

Two fab pastries cost nearly Ā£5 don’t get me wrong they were delicious! You pay for quality though! My only gripes are there are no prices in the display box or I might not observe quick enough to see them. Im all for their z - move partnership trying to reduce their carbon footprint by electric cargo bike. The more the better we need to do our bit cycle and drive less! The 3 stars is I always get served by staff that seem to have that air of attitude about them. Its not like I want an intimate conversation but a little guide of what they have would be nice, I always seem to be rushed even when I’m the only person being served. Wetter than an otters pocket today when I arrived and the experience was well not great. Ill be back though because their bakery is ace. Just a little observation thats all. Im sure it will be better next...
