I organised a 30th birthday event in the middle of May. This was on the private mezzanine area. Lucy, the events manager was excellent with communication and could not have done anything more to make sure that my event was perfect. She organised additional decorations and put me in contact with external companies. This included Harry, a photographer who worked the room and understood that some people may not want pictures while eating so came back! She also sent pictures of the room as it was getting set up - talk about building excitement! The venue was outstanding. The view was lovely and the outdoor terrace was an added bonus. The girls behind the bar were superb. Megan and Jodie were friendly and made sure everyone had a great night. The bar was fully stock with the same stock as the public bar. Elliot and Molly stepped in to support the event on the actual night and went above and beyond to ensure that the event was exactly what I pictured. Booking this venue was an ideal choice. All the guests commented on the food and the quality of it and they commented on the venue and how picturesque it was. There was such a buzz between all guests (70 of them) and for days after I was overjoyed. I still look at pictures now! Just a faultless event - Thank you everyone!

The service in this place is atrocious. Queue at the bar three deep and out of the four staff on duty 1 was serving, 1 faffed on with some cocktails for 15 minutes, one ignored waiting customers and messed about at the back of the bar and one went off to get empty glasses from outside. No sign of any management and a lot of unhappy customers. 2 walked out with no drinks while I waited. The only good thing here is the view from outside (see pic) As an ex bar manager (in Newcastle city centre I have a message for the management here.... TRAIN YOUR STAFF. when theres a rush at the bar serve the customers first, then do the essentials when it quietens off! You might want to rethink cocktails when staff are short too, you must be losing money with the time it takes your students staff to make a cocktail

Pitcher & Piano Newcastle is situated nicely beside the beautiful Quayside area, perfect for brunch or dinner with the lads.. The presentation of the food was remarkable and the taste of the water provided was simply exquisite, one of the best I've tasted! Sadly, the food's beautiful presentation were not followed up by a gourmet experience my lads had expected. The 10 oz steak I had tasted bland and the complementary sauce it was served with was merely just salt to the injury. The same goes for the dessert I ordered, it was disappointing to say the least... definitely not an El Bueno Nonetheless, my lads and I had a great view and service to compensate for the lack luster food experience. Hope the management would improve further on this.

I didn't eat here hence why only 4 stars ⭐, but I had a few drinks here I was there around 4 o'clock on a Wednesday which wasn't peak time so there was a nice and relaxed atmosphere. The bar staff were really nice and welcoming. There was an option to have hot drinks and food but, I had cocktails as I fancied something different they were on but one get one free on alcoholic and none alcoholic ones and a good selection of other alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Prices where mid range, in that area they can range from £7-£12 per cocktail. It is right next to the river and the foot bridge which takes you over to Gateshead nice and romantic on a winters night.

Nice place inside with a decent menu and large drinks menu. Everything from beers and larger's to cocktails and non alcoholic beverages. They even do sharer cocktails. I had the steak and it was cooked as I asked. We were Olin a group of 9 and apart from a slight misunderstanding at the beginning on a starter all was as requested and the mistake was quickly and easily fixed. On paying the bill options were given for paying individually or as a group. Inside was nice to look at although the music was a bit samish all the time and could irritate after a while. Outside is the millennium bridge which is a great view.

Visited pitcher & Piano on our trip to Newcastle it is a great place to sit and enjoy the views! The vibe is so chilled and the cocktails are great! We were served by a Gentleman called Henry. He was really helpful with explaining the menu and telling us about the 2 for 1 cocktails! We had Pina coladas *chef kiss 💋 We also had the angry fries as wasn't overly hungry but these are great for a we bite with a few drinks. Delighted with the service all round and especially all the lovely friendly staff makes me want to come back when you feel so welcomed 😊
