I’ve got 2 breads and 2 croissants and the total amount they’ve charged £16.50. Then I realised there is an extra charge on them so I called them to check. The employee informed me and insisted that the price was correct. I again told them that there was a mistake, Then the guy realised there was an extra £4.20 charge. It's really not about the money, but this is not fair at all. I’m really curious if this is done to everyone. When I asked for my money back, the response was even more wrong! I was told I had to come back to get a refund, but I said I wouldn't do that because I am away and didn't want to go back because of their mistake and distance of course! What kind of business are you? That charges extra and then calls people back for a refund? Later, I was promised that the refund would be processed, and guess what? Of course, my refund was not processed. No matter how good your food is, if you treat customers like that, you will always lose! Bread is crusty and delicious. However, although the cakes look very attractive they usually taste bland and are badly packaged for takeaway.

Cakes are dropped into a small brown paper bag (rather than a cake box), which means the contents are invariably squished. I only live a three minute walk away, but no matter how carefully I take them home - they always arrive in a mess. On the last occasion, the cream on top of the muffin was squashed when a member of staff when she closed the paper bag firmly. I showed her the crushed cake inside the bag , she just smiled and gave the bag back to me saying they don’t have cake boxes.

Came to sit in for a quick drink and pastry. They charged a huge amount extra for sitting in, without informing me before paying. £5.10 for a small tart is crazy. And the pastries me and my friends had were not to a very high standard, being dry and lacking taste. Service was a little awkward as well, they did not inform us about the prices of sitting in, and had a lot of mix ups with orders. Finally, the seating was not well set up at all, it felt like a kitchen show room, with high stools at bars as the only seating options, so definitely not great for groups, perhaps would be okay if you wanted to sit in alone.
