Decided to check this place out after reading the reviews on trip advisor and also go with my gut instinctâŚ.
I wasnât disappointed!
Warm friendly welcome and shown straight to my seat which I booked while in the car driving there. Menu was extensive and interesting with all the classics and some interesting concepts I havenât seen before.
Didnât have to wait long for my food to arrive, onions bhajis were superb, sweet n savoury, soft in the centre, crunchy and spiky on the outside.
My main course Chicken Tikka was succulent and punched a very aromatic flavour, pershwari Naan cooked in the Tandoor was soft and undulating with lovely crisp characteristics around the edge.
Pilau rice was perfectly cooked, vibrant herbs with contrasts of different coloured rices.
The owner and his sons are exceptionally friendly and made a great fuss as it was my first time.
I can highly recommend this atmospheric restaurant to anyone and I for one will be back.

Read moreI had a meal at this place today was absolutely awful for starters the drinks we ordered was cokes they were flat so wasnât a great start .Then we ordered starters that was awful I ordered a tandoori mix grill was so dry had no taste at all. We also ordered fish pakora that wasnât the best that was filled with pure oil and it was tasteless. So then I ordered some mango lassi every Indian restaurant you go to you have to order this because itâs traditional. That was so tasteless it was unreal I wanted to vomit𤎠I wouldnât recommend this place to anyone if youâre drunk and out of youâre head then itâs the best place for you. This place is to over priced and the food is absolutely disgusting. Not for me no...

But uk curries always seem bland - the flavours and spices seem not quite full enough - a bit insipid. But this was lovely. Hot enough so you know you are having a curry, but not so hot that you can't experience the flavours. A tad salty, maybe, but I was so happy to have decent flavours, that hardly mattered. Service was perfect - oh except I got a large wine when I asked for a small, but I was too polite to mention it. And forced it...
