Great show, mediocre everything else. We went for Clubland bottomless brunch on Saturday, the show was fantastic and the staff were nice. However, everything was running late it took 15minutes to get seated and there wasn't enough waiting space so everyone was cramped together or out in the cold. The drinks were really weak and not that nice for the price. The food was terrible and embarrassingly late. We were served small portions of cold food 10 minutes before the end of our drunch. The vegetarian option was okay, the burger poor and my friend's food was forgotten about. Granted we did receive an apology- the staff were very kind and our waiter attentive. We received an apology bottle of prosecco which we could have just ordered as part of the drunch so it was a poor apology but we appreciated the gesture. Would maybe go again but would book significantly in advance as the tables at the front got by far the most attention, food came out first etc, we were seated at the back and felt very forgotten about. Also we booked and ordered off of the original menu, the food&drink menu changed with little to no notice, little apology and no option to cancel/refund as it wasn't what we had originally agreed to pay for. This was especially disappointing as we could no longer get the drinks we really wanted. Overall a mixed bag, really disappointing as the show really was fantastic.

Dear Anna & Greta, I would like to request a partial refund for our food platters on Saturday night. The food was extremely disappointing and quite frankly disgusting for what we have paid which was over £700 on Saturday 7th December. Some of our staff don’t drink alcohol and they were looking forward to their meal at your venue. When we spoke to staff on the night, they admitted that the chef had trouble with the food and they could not offer us our missing food from the platters as it was not available. I would not have taken to social media or google, trip advisor reviews if we had a response and could have come to an agreement that we are due a refund for the food for our event. The platters were missing: Bread, Duck Gyozas, Vegetable spring rolls, Selection of asian dips & prawn cocktail. There was not just 1 or 2 things missing it was basically everything and the pate and food was not eaten as it was completely unacceptable to serve this. The food was completely unacceptable and we would like to obtain a partial refund just for the food section of our bill or at least some of the amount due to our staff not being fed for the night and having paid for it. I have attached photos of our platters we received and the menu for what states will be served and the bill we paid. I look forward to your response, Many thanks Melissa

I hit this joint with my female accomplice (it was her suggestion). Not my usual scene! Things were slick upon entry and we were seated by efficiently friendly grafters. Grub was top (a bao bun selection, several types of fries and some fish was our choice). It was an ABBA show this Friday night so tunes were as expected. Credit to the six or so performers. We had ex BGT man Matt Pagan fronting up and singing, two gals and one bloke dancing, an 'aerialist' (a strength sapping, technique heavy routine for her) and a girl singing too. Any downers? No live band just (very decent of course) backing tracks banged out by the DJ. Our waiter was cool AF but by his own humble admittance was on his first shift (I thought maybe a cover agency chap?). The draught beers in the menu were not all available, but he didn't know this. We wanted Stella pints and received bottles. Madri it was to be next up then! It's a nice looking joint indeed. For once the men's bogs were pristine and not piss-laden. Why? I counted three other blokes in with the ladies and I tonight!! Might you get a pick-up later on chaps if you rocked up post show? Maybe! Well worth a visit. Just book up first.

I don't really know what to say about this place, or where to start! We went for restaurant week where 2 courses were meant to be £20. We thought we would go to Purple Peacock as it is somewhere we have never been before. On arriving it was empty bar 3 tables. We ordered some drinks to where we waited a while and I was then told there was no sauv blanc. That was no problem as I then ordered some different wine. We were again waiting a long time to where I could see my partners drink sitting on the bar. We were then told that they only had one corkscrew and couldnt find it. I asked if my partner could at least have his drink. One of the waiters then had do go and buy a corkscrew. By this time we had already reciebd our starters by the time my drink came. The starters were lovely. We the ordered out mains and a side of chips. The mains came and the waitress had forgot to put our chips through. The chips then arrived after we had already eaten out main meal. The couple seated not far from us were actually laughing, I think at the sheer ridiculousness of the whole night. When our bill came the waiter did not let us jave a look over it but had told us they had removed the chips. I could see the bill had came to £75 and thought that was a lot but he wouldn't let us fully look at the bill. My partner paid however after totally costs up it seemed really expensive. I therefore asked to see the bill. A discretionary charge of nearly £7 had been charged of which we were not informed about and could not see the bill at the time to see this.we were also charged 41.99 in total for our 2 £20 meals which did not add up at all. Seems this must have been added to make up for the chips that were supposed to be free. When talking to the waiter we could see he was very uncomfortable discussing the service charge which they are obviously told to add and not inform guests of which is very sly. The service was actually good, the waiters are a credit to the place but it is clear that guests are ripped off. The food is nice however you could get better for cheaper abdand a better atmosphere somewhere else.the alcohol is extremely expensive and...

I emailed this feedback directly to the purple peacock a month ago but have had no response. I visited the purple peacock on Saturday 13th July with my group for a hen party. I've received the email asking me to leave a review however as I thought an email would be more appropriate. Firstly, I'd like to say we thought the entertainment was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. There were however, some issues surrounding the food and drink service. Firstly, while I completely understand the servers are unable to bring food out during the performance, the slow speed at which our starters were brought out meant that 2 of our party were left without food while everyone else was eating. These then appeared 15 minutes later while everyone else plates were being cleaned away. Secondly, despite correctly filling in the pre order form for the food, the wrong food was served to 2 members of our party, which resulted in a vegetarian taking a bite to find out it was in fact meat. Thirdly, despite being assured that our pre ordered cocktail trees would be ready for our arrival, I had to ask several times for these, we waited over 30 minutes for drinks. More seriously, one of the cocktail trees we ordered was alcohol free due to a member of our party being pregnant and another being tee total. A server brought over a cocktail tree and assured us it was the alcohol free one, this turned out not to be the case and it was only after insisting several times that this was checked and finally rectified. These issues meant that for myself as the organiser, the first 90 minutes of my night was taken up with chasing up food and drinks orders that should have been straight forward due to the fact that we pre ordered. Additionally, the mistakes with the food and drink were quite serious given the...

I came here with a Hen party from Scotland to start the Saturday nights fun with a performance and some food. The performance was absolutely amazing, the show was so fun, the girls were funny and had great presence with the audience and the music was absolutely on point. But I'm afraid that's where the good vibes end. We were ushered to a table when we entered, no welcome drinks, just plopped at a table and left. We sat for 30 mins before we could wave someone down to come take our order, and I really mean hanging out the booth practically in their face for them to acknowledge you. Ordered drinks and asked about our welcome drinks which we were told they would bring over to us, as it's supposed to be table service only. We waited another 15/20 for the drinks to come, minus the arrival drinks that never showed up. The drinks were very diluted, we had doubles that were definitely not doubles. We wanted to order food which again meant practically jumping in a servers face to get them to take an order. The food that came was overpriced, cold, very salty on both the halloumi and calamari, unsure if this is a tactic to get you to buy more of the watered down alcohol, which would be grand except you couldn't actually get drinks even if you wanted to. We were there for 2 hours and had 3 drinks total as I also asked for water for the table that never appeared at all. Staff just seemed to have zero interest in doing their job but just walking from the bar to the kitchen area singing the songs. I think a mix of not enough staff and maybe uninterested staff. A good night was still had, but that was solely down...
