Great place for fast food. Better than a lot of places for fast food I've visited. Good selection of burgers of several sorts. Also other meals like I had . Chicken supreme meal ( see photos) lovely flavoured creamy pepper sauce over fresh cut chips. They also do wraps and salads (various) and pizzas to. Clean place with plenty of seating for eating there. Various soft drinks and beverages to. It was busy when I went but it was lunch time. Disabled access. There is street parking or car parks but you have to pay. And they are very busy. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Toilets are average. If your hungry you certainly come out full.

My family and I have orderer 3 chicken burgers from here and wow the chicken was so pink and the chicken was sooo disgusting that it had turned me off eating takeaway meat overall - we had called them back to let them know what has happened and we got told by the manager “sure the chicken can’t be raw” making it seem like we were stupid and told us to come in but we didn’t bother because we knew what they would have said, that the chicken is fine but from my picture clearly it isn’t!

Title: A Disappointing Dining Experience at Friar Tucks in Newry

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Friar Tucks in Newry, and I must say it was nothing short of a culinary catastrophe. From the moment I stepped through the door, it was evident that this fast-food establishment fell far short of basic hygiene and quality standards.

The first issue that struck me was the overall cleanliness of the place. The dining area seemed like it hadn't seen a thorough cleaning in ages. Tables were sticky, floors were greasy, and the general atmosphere exuded neglect. It was disheartening to witness such a blatant disregard for basic sanitation.

Moving on to the food, the dismal quality continued to plague my experience. I ordered a seemingly straightforward burger, expecting a standard fast-food fare. To my dismay, what arrived at my table was a sorry excuse for a meal. The burger patty was not only undercooked but downright raw in the center. The sight of pink, slimy meat was not only unappetizing but also a serious health concern. How a fast-food establishment could fail so spectacularly in basic food safety is beyond comprehension.

To add insult to injury, the fries accompanying the burger were soggy and clearly over-fried. It was as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours before being unceremoniously dumped on my tray. The entire meal was a testament to the lack of care and attention to detail in the kitchen.

As if the unsavory conditions and unappetizing food weren't enough, the staff's lackadaisical attitude only exacerbated the issue. Attempts to bring these concerns to the attention of the employees were met with indifference. It was as if customer satisfaction held no importance to them.

In conclusion, my experience at Friar Tucks in Newry was a regrettable journey into the abyss of subpar fast food. From the filthy environment to the shockingly undercooked burger, the entire ordeal was a showcase of negligence and incompetence. I strongly advise anyone considering dining at Friar Tucks to think twice and choose an establishment that values the basic tenets of cleanliness, food safety, and customer satisfaction. One star is a generous rating for this dismal excuse for a...

Best takeaway ever, you all don't know how good you have it. Wish they'd open one up in Belfast, nowhere I know does good chips like these guys, especially when dipped into the sauce 👌 By the time I got to the burger, I was already stuffed but still enjoyed every bite.

Had a humble cashier too, very easy to talk to. Not everybody in customer service should be in the job, but these people are great.

Loved hearing all the nostalgic Newry chats going on, everybody is so friendly here.

My chef girlfriend found it amusing how they mix fast food type wrapping with cuisine cutlery. Said she'd never seen it before. She's Michelin Star level, but really liked the food too.
