Great food, terrible service, dirty restaurant. Came for dinner on a warm Friday evening. This restaurant is clearly facing an identity crisis. The restaurant has been open for a couple of years, but is now under new management. Whilst the food is still fantastic (and a step up from the pub grub of the surrounding eateries), the FOH is shambolic. The restaurant has lost most of the pizazz that made it special (chef cooking in front of guests, attentive service etc) and has instead replaced it with skeletal staff and a lacklustre, poorly run restaurant. On a busy Friday night, the restaurant had just three waiting staff working. I feel incredibly sorry for them — working very hard but there just wasn’t enough of them. With our starters, our cutlery came several minutes after our food. By the time the main courses came, the kitchen staff were getting so frustrated they had to hand deliver food to tables. The sauces and condiments requested when the food was delivered didn’t arrive until after we’d finished our meals. I could go on. Furthermore, the restaurant was in a poor state. The toilets and cutlery were dirty and the restaurant itself very different. Understandably some things need to be different in light of the pandemic, but simple cleanliness should not be overlooked. This restaurant needs to decide what it is. If it wants to be a slightly more upmarket Red Barn, be that. If it want to be a beach club style restaurant, be that. Right now they’re failing customers by trying too hard to be all things to all people. Serving great food whilst playing early-2000’s dance music and Star Wars on a projector won’t win sustained business if they’re trying to be what they once were — a wonderful restaurant that didn’t charge enough for what they served.

We have found a true gem we have been coming to woolacombe for over twenty years. Our family have grown up on holidays here and this restaurant is a keeper. A local well know restaurant do not allow dogs anymore so this is our new venue in future. Dog friendly and the staff was polite and attentive. The menu was very good considering the current climate as most restaurants have a reduced menu. The staff are a credit to the owner and manager. Social distancing is excellent as well as track and trace on arrival at the venue it is clearly displayed on arrival at the restaurant. We was met at the door and escorted to our seats. Great setting great Decor great venue.

Brilliant accomodations bar. Breakfast is meant to finish at 11am however they were happy to serve us at 12:30pm on a quiet day which was amazing! Incredibly clean all round and can't fault that aspect at all. Great quality food and brilliant service from the waiting staff. Fair pricing , with the largest breakfast being just under £10 and there being may other cheaper options such as breakfast sandwiches and American pancakes. Highly recommended.

It's a shame but this restaurant has gone down massively, food mediocre at best waiting staff did not even come to our table to see if our party of 6 wanted to order drinks we waited 15-20 mins, in the end I had to go to find someone to serve us. No apologies from waiting staff, then 2 mins later a different member come to take food order even though still not had a drink. The food then flew out of the kitchen within 10 mins. it was supposed to be my birthday but we had finished by 8pm bearing in mind we arrived at 7-15pm and that was a party of 6 including starters. This experience was just rushed and they just wanted to get you in and out as quick as possible will definitely never go back over priced for the quality of the food. Don't waste your time plenty of better...
