The best breakfast in the world!

I came to Johnny C's with my family for breakfast based on local advice. It really didn't disappoint!

The staff were lovely. Their COVID measures were faultless. And as for the breakfast, it was literally the best fryup I've ever had. And I really consider myself an expert in this field.

I went for the largest and most expensive of their 3 options: At £10, the 'Big Johnny' isn't the cheapest large fryup around, but you won't find better value for money anywhere else. Everything was cooked to perfection and the sausages were really high quality.

My daughter had pancakes - amazing! My wife had the vegetarian option - amazing! They also served the best flat white I've had in a long time.

We came here for brunch after being told by another fancy coffee shop just down the road that we couldn't come in with our dog, in spite of her being in a buggy. I have no problem with places having a no-dogs policy, but do object to being spoken to rather nastily.

The welcome at Johnny's couldn't have been more different. They were very happy for us to come in with the dog and greeted us all warmly. We ordered scrambled eggs on sourdough toast, and coffee. The eggs were rich and buttery and delicious. We're both coffee aficionados, and agreed that the coffee was excellent - and we don't often rate coffee shops so highly.

So if you're needing a coffee in Ilfracombe, go to Johnny C's and not the flint-hearted place...

Wow, this place is brilliant! Delicious handmade food, not the frozen sh!t you get at other local cafés. It's absolutely worth the price, so don't be deterred by that when you go in (it is most certainly not an upcharge). The atmosphere is spectacularly welcoming and cozy and the wait staff is so welcoming and friendly, they all treat you like they know you and it makes the experience so lovely. The milkshakes are rich and flavourful and the pizza had so many great attributes that it would take too long to list. It takes a lot to make me give a 5 star review of a place and wow did this place deserve it! I will be sure to visit again and reccomend to family...
