Harry's Soul Station is serving up food and drinks you just can't help yourself with, and aren't even sorry for over indulging in! We went for a late light lunch that was meant to be a stopgap before dinner. We ordered all four taco varieties, thinking one of each would be great. They arrived stuffed generously with fresh and extremely tasty fillings. We didn't get very far with exploring the drinks menu but it's imaginative and very well done. We had the maple bacon old fashioned which is exactly what it sounds like but works so well. I don't usually like bourbon but this went down very easily. Service is quick, friendly and informal which matches the setting. The restaurant is an old pub but has a lovely local hub feel to it. It's spacious and comfortable. There are plants everywhere and a range of comfortable seating which makes it feel like a home from home. Board games are on offer as well. I'd be ecstatic to have this as a local option, and will be back next time I'm in Norwich!

We love Harry’s Soul train and are really happy that they have a permanent location just off Nelson street. Food is locally sourced where possible, fantastic quality and delicious. Service is great as is the coffee. They are currently open for breakfast and lunch and will be opening for dinner very soon. This is a must for anyone that loves a good breakfast or brunch. The decor is cosy and well laid out, and they have board games if you want to play a game of chess or connect four. They have only been open a few weeks and the wife and I come here every weekend, yes it is that good!! I’m looking forward to coming here for burgers and tacos when their dinner service starts!!

We visited on mother's day for a lovely brunch before heading on my long trip back to South wales . My daughter is in university and had looked into places to eat whilst I was visiting and your establishment came up ....just wow !! We ordered a southern breakfast , avo hash and pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, because we wanted to try every thing . Just wow guys it was absolutely amazing...tge corn bread was something new to me and was do delicious...eyes bigger than belly comes to mind and the pancakes came home with me and I enjoyed them during my drive. I would definitely return and I know my daughter is planning a return visit with her boyfriend

I thought it would be a lovely idea to bring my partner here as I’ve been several times before and it’s been amazing! But the most recent experience was far from amazing.

There was no warm welcome or any type of pleasant small talk. Which is strange because before hand it has been very welcoming.

Anyways we go on and order our food and drinks all is fine. The food comes quickly which was great and the young girl with long hair and glasses was really lovely.

During our meal we had no check back to see if everything was okay. And it wasn’t okay. I ordered the mac and cheese with crispy onions. The onions on the top were stale and chewy like they had been left in a box without a lid on. The ā€˜cheese’ sauce was tasteless and powdery as if it was a cheap cheese sauce mix from a box (hopefully this box was sealed properly). Everything lacked seasoning and ā€˜soul’.

When our plate were finally cleared we finally had a chance to mention what was wrong although it was to late as we had already finished the other dishes. When we explained to the lady serving us (who may have been a manager or owner) she quickly dismissed us and was extremely rude. I apologised saying that I hate to complain (which is true) but got no apology or acknowledgement of the issue. She pretty much told us we were wrong.

The customer service was shocking! Now reading through some of the other reviews I can see that we are not alone in feeling this. The sarcasm and disrespect when it comes to complaints and reviews is extremely unprofessional. It’s clear that something or some people need to change for the sake of the...

Food here looks appealing and the flavours sound innovative, but poor execution.

First time I tried this place, I got the chicken burger. The chicken was so chewy and cheap-tasting, it was bland and had no flavour, and was just drowned in sauce to make up for this to the point the burger became sloppy.

I decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt and tried them again (which I regret). This time, I really didn’t like the bourbon beef burger, which had a beef patty that was dry and tasteless and it tasted closer to meatloaf. Again it felt like this lack of flavour was made up for by the burger being drowned in BBQ sauce.

Finally I tried the Nutty Dutchman fries, the chilli flavour was nice, but they didn’t meld with the fries. They didn’t go well together.

[Response to the reply I received here]: I tried your place twice, on 2 separate days, because I thought my first order was just a one-off disappointment. Despite giving you the benefit-of-doubt, the second order was just as bad, if not worse. I actually felt grossed out after the beef burger. So I concluded that your food is consistently bad, and the badly cooked patties are not worth the price. I wanted to take my time to write a thorough and honest review, which is why I am only posting this when I have time.

I think I have sufficiently experienced your food and service so my judgement...

Incredibly saddened at what I witnessed a few weeks ago. Came here for a late lunch on a Wednesday and a young lass came in dressed smart that approached the 'owner' to ask about leaving some leaflets about the local pharmacy next door, the entire attitude of said 'owner' shocked both me and my family upon overhearing this. The owner was very abrupt and rude to this poor young woman. Absolutely no need to be so atrocious. When the girl mentioned that it had been OK to leave leaflets previously the 'owner' bellowed "Well I am the owner so my decision is final". Myself and my family were shocked at hearing her throwing her weight around like that. I truly felt for the poor girl that simply politely asked to leave some leaflets promoting a Pharmacy which promotes health. Have been coming to this restaurant for a while with family, friends etc but after this day I have shared the shocking incident with all that have joined me at what I thought was genuinely a nice and kind local family run business. You have lost a number of loyal customers due to this behaviour we witnessed. It seems that you are only kind when you are getting money from the local community and are not happy to help the local community or even be kind to them. Very disappointed and will not...
