A super friendly pub with solid, non pretentious food and a SUPER reasonable price!
Food - I headed down for a full English and they didn't disappoint, everything was well cooked and solid quality, super generous portions at a really good price, my fry up cost £10 and was a large and I felt full for like 6 hours. My partner had a bacon roll, it was like £2.50, full of thick cut bacon. Griddle pan cooked (there is a difference and it's awesome) and brilliant. Can't fault it!
Service - Super friendly, John and Sarah are lovely, they've run the place for a couple of years and are clearly passionate about what they do. Chatty and personable but not intrusive, again, can't fault it. They always have solid deals on.
Atmosphere - The Belle Veu is an old English pub and it feels like it, it's warm, clean and calm space, John is an ex-servicemen and it shows in the décor. I'd call it a local if you get me?
Accessibility - Fully wheelchair accessible, plenty of space and the bar isn't too tall. Parking is on street and...
Read moreA warm greeting was had at the Belle Vue and that was the start of a fabulous Sunday lunchtime. Good choice of beers and wines and lunch selection. A mirror of the other sister pubs we've visited, The Boars and The Cellar House. If you're worried about parking, dont be, most of the streets around that area you can park easily and not permit holders only. Nearly kept us away which would've been a sad thing The roast was absolutely delicious we went for beef and pork with sides of cauliflower cheese and their special stuffing with extra gravy. All cooked to such a high standard especially the roasties which were perfectly sublime. We didn't leave any room for a dessert but took a look at others around us and OMG they looked absolutely awesome and large portions too. Service from Molly and the Belle Vue team is brilliant, so friendly. We can't wait to return. If you're thinking about going, don't just think...
Read moreFood is served here and on Sunday you can expect to order a very decently sized roast with a choice of Turkey, Beef or Vegetarian steak. The building is large, spacious and well kept with plenty of seating at a table, the bar, out the back or out front. They have a standard pool table near the back that accepts 50p coins or £1 coins for two games. They occasionally host bands and talented musicians, however don't expect them to be playing too late into the night as they do not like to disturb their neighbours. Have a look at their Facebook posts or ask a member of staff for times etc..
Over all a very good pub that is comfortable to drink or dine in with friendly staff and a...
