Iāve been a regular at Kofra for years but was so disappointed when i went there today. I used the toilet for a wee as i was desperate and then was seeing whether i could get a deal on buying a kg of beans. I couldnāt which wasnāt a problem and said to them I would be back for a coffee in a little while i was just going to get something savoury from bread-source as i had just been for a swim and it was lunchtime and i was hungry. When i walked out I got a load of abuse from the owner whoās body language and demeanour was very confrontational. I have always recommended kofra to others and have introduced a lot of people to the chain. I reckon i spend on average at least Ā£20 a week here but i will no longer be spending a single penny going forward and will also be letting other people know of the terrible experience I received.
Good coffee but horrific...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNice atmosphere and the espresso was extracted to great taste, but servers today were quite rude. The gentleman taking my order was very short, despite me walking in with a smile and greeting them kindly. While we were waiting for our drinks, I asked whether there was a price list for the wines on the shelves, to which the other server replied with a hard NO. And when I looked for elaboration, they snapped āthe prices are on the bottlesā. I went over to find the prices were indeed on the back side of the bottles, but I donāt think asking whether there is a price list was an unreasonable question. We chose this spot for our visit to Norwich since I absolutely love Komodo in Brighton, but this was a very different experience. A shame since it looks like a cool spot to have a drink...

This pistachio bun took me back to my childhood in the Philippines. Summertime. Sitting outside our house after playing around. Waiting for the ice cream man and his cart. You know heās coming because you can hear his little hand bell ringing from afar. He comes and I pick the ube ice cream which he stuffs inside a milk bun and then sprinkles it with a come icing sugar. We call it āBilogā.
Wow. It was a very hard internal fight not to buy them all. I felt warm inside with every single bite. Thank you, @kofracoffee š«¶š»
