What is this sorcery?! This pistachio bun took me back to my childhood in the Philippines. Summertime. Sitting outside our house after playing around. Waiting for the ice cream man and his cart. You know he’s coming because you can hear his little hand bell ringing from afar. He comes and I pick the ube ice cream which he stuffs inside a milk bun and then sprinkles it with a come icing sugar. We call it ā€œBilogā€. Wow. It was a very hard internal fight not to buy them all. I felt warm inside with every single bite. Thank you, @kofracoffee šŸ«¶šŸ» Props to the guy who gave us a side plate for my husband’s croissant. These kinds of attention to detail and customer service (aside from serving the best coffee in norwich) is what makes us come back. ā˜•ļø

The coffee was very good and the barista had the flexibility and emotional intelligence to allow us to bring in a croissant from a neighbouring business. The coffee, design and ambience, along with the unobtrusive background music was as close to perfection as it is possible to get. The customers too added to the vibe. We may come from differing backgrounds and points of view, but a shared appreciation of good coffee, smart design and great service is civilizing and can bring people together. We can praise the elements, like the quality of the beans, the steam, the milk and so on, but what brings it all together, like the conductor in an orchestra, is the barista. Thank you.

We paid one of the Kofra shops a visit recently and thought we would try their coffee. We usually use a competitor brand but we are glad we gave them a go. The coffee tastes great. I bought the Joy range and it tastes amazing. The gentleman at the counter was really helpful and asked me a number of questions to ensure the coffee was ground appropriately for my coffee machine at home. Really helpful and clearly passionate about his products. I would definitely recommend Kofra. There is also a laptop-free cafƩ area which looks very cosy. We will be back.

I’ve been a regular at Kofra for years but was so disappointed when i went there today. I used the toilet for a wee as i was desperate and then was seeing whether i could get a deal on buying a kg of beans. I couldn’t which wasn’t a problem and said to them I would be back for a coffee in a little while i was just going to get something savoury from bread-source as i had just been for a swim and it was lunchtime and i was hungry. When i walked out I got a load of abuse from the owner who’s body language and demeanour was very confrontational. I have always recommended kofra to others and have introduced a lot of people to the chain. I reckon i spend on average at least Ā£20 a week here but i will no longer be spending a single penny going forward and will also be letting other people know of the terrible experience I received.

Good coffee but horrific...

Nice atmosphere and the espresso was extracted to great taste, but servers today were quite rude. The gentleman taking my order was very short, despite me walking in with a smile and greeting them kindly. While we were waiting for our drinks, I asked whether there was a price list for the wines on the shelves, to which the other server replied with a hard NO. And when I looked for elaboration, they snapped ā€œthe prices are on the bottlesā€. I went over to find the prices were indeed on the back side of the bottles, but I don’t think asking whether there is a price list was an unreasonable question. We chose this spot for our visit to Norwich since I absolutely love Komodo in Brighton, but this was a very different experience. A shame since it looks like a cool spot to have a drink...
