Lord's Restaurant — Restaurant in Norwich

I came here as part of a large group on New Year’s Eve. The lad who took care of us, Ewan, (apologies if I’ve misspelled that) really brought his A-game. He clearly knew his menu and his wines and was very helpful with recommendations. His banter was on point as well. Food was beautiful, I had sea bream which was meaty and full of flavour. My friends were a bit more adventurous with octopus and other seafood which they all seemed to enjoy very much. The menu also had options to cater for those of us that aren’t quite so keen on seafood although my top choice, which was beef ragu, was out of stock at the time. Otherwise, great food, great service, great time and would happily come back again...

This is one of the best restaurant meals we have had in a long time. Everything we ordered was delicious: three appetizers, octopus, salmon, and scallops; salad; chips, and tiramisu and pane cotta for dessert, with a couple of tasty Italian beers to accompany our meal. The serving staff were absolutely charming and the atmosphere of the little restaurant is very nice. The music, acoustic versions of classic and recent hits, augmented the experience nicely. But again, THE FOOD was so fresh, flavorful, and beautifully-presented, we were delighted. What a find! Food was absolutely delicious, the oysters were the best we’ve ever had. Unfortunately, the wait was atrociously long, we waited 25 minutes for staters, then after plates were collected another 30 minutes for mains even though it wasn’t very busy. We ordered chips with our dinner and side of salad but received veg instead. The chips come after we finished all of our food. The waiter bless him couldn’t recommend much as said he hasn’t eaten too many dishes there.
