I hate to leave a bad review, but the service we experienced here yesterday was appalling. We came at lunchtime, it wasn't busy but we were still ignored when we entered. We were eventually seated, and given menus and we ordered drinks (including a jug of water which took a lot longer to arrive than the other drinks). Another table were seated after us, and the waiter took their food order ahead of ours, despite us being very clearly ready and waiting. However, when the food arrived, it was nice enough - certainly a step above the chain pizza places, but there are better pizzas around. The space itself is thoughtfully presented and there's a decent-sized outdoor area, although I'm not sure I'd enjoy eating a pizza next to a skip, which is what at least one set of customers would be expected to do.
The manager (presumably) was sitting in the restaurant, taking up a prominent 6 seat table with a laptop, constantly wandering around on his phone and not paying attention to the customers. At one point, there was even a waitress from the connected coffee shop next door in tears who was sitting at the same table talking to him. Obviously I don't know what had happened and I wouldn't speculate on that, but it's entirely inappropriate for the manager not to have offered a private place for her, rather than making her have to sit in front of everyone in that state - there has to be an office or at least a less obvious table he could use.
The final straw came when I asked the waiter for the bill, which he duly brought, but didn't bring the card machine when he said he would, and was just stood chatting to the kitchen staff instead. I had to go up and tell him I was still waiting, to which he told me he was bringing it - he very clearly wasn't, and then he didn't know how to use the till to activate the machine anyway, so I spent even more time just stood at the bar (perhaps not his fault, but the manager would have been able to help with this had he been more present).
I had high hopes based on the Loughborough restaurant, but I'm afraid I can't see that I'd return here. I would at least like to compliment the young waitress who was working yesterday at this place (not the coffee shop next door), who seemed to be the only person who had any idea what was going on, and understood that she was there to serve people, which she did with very good grace, and I hope she's getting the recognition she deserves for...

This is the electrifying origin story of Spartan John-117âthe Master Chiefâand of his legendary, unstoppable heroism in leading the resistance against humanityâs possible extinction.
The pizza was great and the staff very accommodating. Dave who helped us out knew his stuff and was friendly. I definitely recommend swinging by and checking out the cool venue. Also great music playing indie/rock and chill vibes finally I don't get hit with waves of pop music when entering a restaurant haha 𤣠I had a vegan pizza if I had one recommendation I would like maybe one more option to vegan pizza but...
Read moreThis week marked a very special milestone for our familyâfive years since our sonâs adoption became official. Naturally, we wanted to celebrate in style, and as luck would have it, our little guy had only one thing on his mind: pizza. đ Enter Peter Pizzeria, which, by an amazing coincidence, opened on the same day as our celebration. Talk about serendipity!
After shooting them an email, I initially heard that they couldn't reserve a space for us. But later that afternoon, I received a personal call from Peter himself, assuring us that a spot would be waiting for us. Now thatâs what I call service!
Tucked away on Bridalsmith Gate, Peter Pizzeria is a bit of a hidden gemâyouâve got to know where to look. But once you find it, youâre greeted by vibrant graffiti thatâs impossible to miss, adding to the charm of the place.
We were seated in one of the three cozy rooms, and the attentive staff wasted no time in taking care of us. We ordered two adult pizzas and a children's pizza, and the best part? We could watch them being crafted right before our eyes in the large pizza oven. The pizzas were delicious, the drinks were spot-on, and at just ÂŁ50 for the three of us, the price was as satisfying as the food.
All in all, it was a perfect way to celebrate our little family milestone, and Peter Pizzeria has officially earned its spot as our new go-to pizza haunt. We'll definitely be back for more slices...
