I visited this Nando's with my fiance and daughter in March 2020 before the COVID-19 lockdown. We arrived just after they opened their doors for lunch service. We were greeted and shown to our table. All seemed to be ok. I went and ordered our food, polite young man took our order and we awaited our food. The waitress who brought our food over clearly had a stroppy attitude and barely spoke from the get go. She slammed the plates on the table and went to walk off, I politely asked her for 3x tubs of mayonnaise, 1x tub for each of us. She walked off without any acknowledgement of my request and then returned with 1x tub of mayonnaise. Again, I politely said "sorry I asked for 3x tubs, 1x for each of us" at this point the waitress rolled her eyes and tutted, she then walked over to her colleague and started to moan about us. Baring in mind at this point there was only us and 2 other tables occupied so she was not busy. She returned with the mayonnaise and with a thud on the table she chucked it down for one of the tubs to bounce off the plate and end up upside down. I asked to speak to the manager who came over approx. 10 minutes later (she was doing paperwork in the office), she apologised but didn't seem to care less, offered nothing in the way of an apology, she said she would speak to her about her attitude. The manager then went over to her and the next thing the waitress was kicking off, shouting at the manager, clearly someone who is not happy in their work. I do not expect to go to a restaurant to pay money for a meal and to be abused by staff who can not conduct themselves accordingly for their job role. I will not be returning. The only positive which is why they get 2 stars and not 1 star is that the...
Read moreIf you’re craving bold flavours, a vibrant atmosphere, and consistently satisfying food, Nando’s remains a top choice. I visited [insert branch name or leave generic], and once again, they delivered on all fronts.
Food: The star of the show, as always, was the flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken — tender, juicy, and packed with flavour. I went for the medium spice, which had just the right kick without overpowering the taste. The sides didn’t disappoint either: the PERi-salted chips were perfectly crisp, and the spicy rice added a hearty touch. Their halloumi sticks with chilli jam made a great starter — salty, sweet, and totally addictive.
Service: Friendly and efficient. Staff were welcoming from the moment I walked in, and despite the place being busy, food arrived promptly and piping hot. You place your order at the counter, but the team regularly checked in to top up drinks or clear plates — a nice touch for a casual dining spot.
Atmosphere: Lively, modern, and relaxed. The Afro-Portuguese music playing in the background added a fun, authentic vibe, and the décor — a mix of rustic wood, bold art, and warm lighting — made the space feel inviting.
Value: For the quality and portion sizes, Nando’s is great value. It’s easy to customise your meal, whether you’re in the mood for something fiery or more mellow, and they cater well to vegetarians and flexitarians too.
Final Thoughts: Nando’s hits that sweet spot between fast food and sit-down dining. It’s casual, consistent, and always full of flavour. Whether you’re on a solo lunch break, a casual date night, or dining with friends, it’s a go-to that rarely...
Read moreVisited here for some dinner earlier this evening with some friends which started out perfectly lovely, the staff member we spoke to was very kind and quick to grab us a table outside but unfortunately from then on, the experience wasn’t fantastic. We ordered through the app (as per usual) and waited quite a while for the food which we weren’t overly fussed by, and when the first three plates were brought out (my three friends meals, one of whom’s burger was cold) the waitress said mine was just coming. My two friends and I had ordered the same thing except I asked for no creamy sauce on my chips so my friend said ‘oh take mine’ and I said ‘oh no mine has no creamy sauce’ whilst the waitress was there. I then waited another 10 minutes for my plate. I work in hospitality so I assume that it was made at the same time as my friends as we ordered together but they mistakenly put sauce on mine and when the waitress heard me say it, I guess they remade mine. I don’t know this for sure as we weren’t told anything but when mine finally arrived, it sadly had lots of the toppings missing - not just the sauce I asked for without. At that point I was so hungry that I just gave in and ate the food and there was nobody coming outside for me to tell it was incorrect. I was quite disappointed with this as my friends had almost finished their food when mine arrived and it wasn’t even the...
