Interesting place, Helena our guide was great very informative and aware of guests needs 😊. They are taking you around on small groups at the moment, 10 in ours. Helena mage sure to go ahead of the 'inmates' in order to clean banisters which was great. Small souvenir shop, resonably priced. Public toilets were open. Slug and Lettuce right next door or, of course, Oxford is right on the doorstep too. Good place for youngsters but babies will need to be carried. Beware there are 100 steps up the tower which are narrow and relatively steep in places, I have a size 3 shoe and I'm flexible so it wasn't a problem, however for the less abled you would need to take care...... anyone who is behind a person who is struggling, please don't rush them you'll get to the bottom eventually and like us won't miss anything as the guides wait for everyone...

Alot of the former prison is now a hotel, but you can still walk around the grounds and the old exercise yard. If visiting Oxford a trip here is definitely...
