I only came across this pizza restaurant recently, and I'm glad I did! Situated in the beautiful Covered Market in Oxford, Sartorelli's offers a good amount of seats and a fair variety of pizza flavours to choose from. Being cooked in a wood fired oven, the pizza was light, crispy, and it tasted delicious! The fresh ingredients certainly make a difference to the taste. Whilst eating it, I couldn't help comparing it to other restaurants, and I must say that this is so far one of the best pizzas I have had in a while. Prices are reasonable, the service is quick, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. If you ever end up visiting Sartorelli's and have to queue, remember that good things come to those who wait!! I would totally recommend it if you want a proper Italian pizza experience. And if you fancy a good glass of wine, you must also visit the wine cellar shop next door. They have a beautifully displayed mixed variety of...

My quest for the best pizza in Oxford continues. Sartorelli’s is a small outlet in the Oxford covered market and hence has to cope with the limited opening hours allowed. This is a wood fired pizza and is cooked fast and furious. This makes it hard to juggle burnt to a crisp and raw. I had a calzone and it was slightly under done hence the four starts not five. I like my pizza light and thin and this suited my taste more than BBuona. My wife prefers BBuona. Myself the other way around. So far it is a draw between Oxfords top two rated Pizza restaurants. It is a great option If you want an early dinner or lunch. Seating is mostly shared and you can get a drink from either the beer or wine shops next door. It has a nice atmosphere with sitting outside but still...

If this was simply a takeaway pizza restaurant, I think my review would be much higher. They serve delicious authentic Italian pizza which was served very quickly. Would have been 5 stars for the food but the amount of pepperoni was disappointing. The real issue is the amount of seating. There’s very little. You can’t reserve a seat. If you simply want to collect food, there’s no where to wait inside for the food. I’m not even sure they give pizza boxes to take your pizza home in? All in all, pizza was good, and the covered market is a great place to explore. If you want someone to rest and eat good pizza, this isn’t the place. Pizza pilgrims offers the same quality pizza (if not, better) and a better dining experience. P.
