UPDATE / Second Visit:
I returned a second time this weekend with my family and we chose different burgers (The Basic Boy), but again they are covered in grease and I find the buns way too soft. This isn’t a mistake, it’s just how they are made, so I can’t complain about errors or poor cooking. It’s personal preference.
I chose different fries as well the time, with toppings - one with bacon and the other was chilli cheese. Both were a mushy mess, it’s like a small child made them and proudly used every squeeze bottle of sauce they managed to find in the fridge. Plain fries are completely tasteless and lifeless still.
The Ninja chicken is the only thing we enjoyed. The burgers are just way too greasy, both inside and all over the bun.
Service and the environment is very good. Clean and pleasant, unlike Five Guys which is shabby, but the burgers and fries at Five Guys are light years ahead.
First Review & First Visit:
I went with my family (four adults) and I’d say the place looks good, is certainly cleaner than alternatives like Five Guys and a little cheaper too. I like that tables need to be booked.
We enjoyed the burgers and also a side of plain fries and Ninja chicken. Overall it’s “good” but not as good as the hype. I don’t see why it’s the second best burger in the world.
Would be better if the burgers had less sauce oozing out of them and a firmer bun. You’ll need a shower after eating them.
Fries are very plain without toppings so five guys wins there, but the smash burger patties are nice although rather greasy too.
The chicken was very tasty.
My recommendation is to order a simpler burger as the more sauce and melted cheese you have the more likely it is your burger has a mushy...

My brother and I booked a table for two on Saturday (08/11/2025). We’ve been big fans of the food truck for a while and were really excited to visit the new restaurant in Oxford. When we arrived, the staff were lovely, friendly, welcoming, and attentive and we were very happy with the service.
It was difficult to choose from the menu because everything sounded great, but in the end, I went for the Dirty Boy with a side of Bacon Fries while my brother ordered the OG Burger, Millionaire Fries and a Bueno Milkshake.
The restaurant was quite busy, so we expected a bit of a wait, but it was absolutely worth it! I was initially worried I might need two burgers (as I’m a large man), but one burger and a side each was more than enough. The milkshake was delicious, the portions generous, and the food easily ranked among the best I’ve had in Oxford. I’ve tried most burger places in the city, some good, some basic but this one truly stands out. In my opinion, this is the best burger spot in Oxford right now.
I also want to give a special mention to our waitress she was lovely, kind, and genuinely helpful. A real breath of fresh air!
If I had to be extremely picky, the only small thing I noticed was a large cobweb above our table on the ceiling by the French doors leading outside, and another nearby. It’s a minor detail, but without that, the atmosphere would’ve been a perfect 5/5.
Overall, the food was fantastic, the service was marvellous, and we’ll definitely be back, next time with friends and family. I’m already looking forward to trying another burger, and maybe one day, if I’m feeling brave, the...
Read moreFirstly, we can't fault the service, there was plenty of staff, and they were all very helpful, pleasant and friendly so top marks for that. The interior of the restaurant was also very good, fresh and new and a good atmosphere. We really didn't get on with the food at all though, my husband and I found it far too greasy. My burger bun was greasy to the touch on the outside? and they fry the inside of the burger buns which I'm really not keen on. The meat was good quality though and that bit tasted good. The whole burger was just far too greasy though, we both ordered different burgers and both thought the same. (We had to leave half of the buns as it was grease overload). I also like sweet potato fries but they don't feature on the menu and there wasn't a plain cheeseburger option, all the burgers come with bacon. (I picked it out but it seemed a bit silly when I didn't want bacon on my burger in the first place). My husband had the bacon fries which were overkill on the bacon, 2 slices of bacon on top, bacon bits scattered throughout plus bacon flavoured sauce, he couldn't eat them. The regular fries were also too greasy in my opinion as well so I couldn't eat many of those either. The milkshake was good, but not sure why it was served in a single-use disposable plastic cup, not very good for the planet. They should invest in some of those metal milkshake cups in my opinion and keep them cold in the fridge or freezer and serve their milkshakes in those instead... i really like Craft burger and GBK, their burgers are absolutely delicious...
