Elsie Habesha Cuisine — Restaurant in Plymouth

Wonderful, freshly cooked food. Elsie and Anna were extremely friendly & welcoming - we were meeting them for the first time, but it felt like we were family.

The food was delightful - it was so nice to experience something different. The injera bread was a wonderful base for the delicious and vibrant vegetarian dishes that Elsie prepared.

The meal was concluded with a cup of flavourful Jabulani coffee, expertly prepared by Anna. We enjoyed it so much, we bought a bag to take home.

Elsie's Habesha Cuisine is a little hard to find - it's within The Plot business centre on Union Street. But it is definitely worth taking the time to find and enjoy. Elsie & Anna are interesting, delightful hosts and it was a real pleasure to talk with them.

Came here today for the first time, also my first time in The Plot (which is it located in). The food court feels so homely and like a community, everyone is so friendly. There are three different food vans in the room, one do them selling only drinks, so you can always mix and match if you’re in a large group.

It was my first time trying Ethiopian/Eritrean food, and it was sooo gooodd! I hadn’t eaten yet and I’m so gladd because it enabled me to enjoy the food to the fullest. I’m surprised more people don’t know about it, would definitely recommend especially for students. Elsie is so lovely, and was telling us about Ethiopia whilst she was preparing the food.
