Goodbodys#propercafe — Restaurant in Plymouth

Goodbodies in Plymouth offers a mixed bag when it comes to their breakfast offerings. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the milkshake - a delicious treat that, while pricey at £7, was worth every sip. However, the main course left something to be desired.

At £12 for a standard breakfast, one would expect a hearty meal with quality ingredients. Unfortunately, the meat and mushrooms fell short of expectations, reminiscent of more basic fare you might find in less gourmet settings. The addition I requested for my meal was initially overlooked, which was a bit disappointing. When it did arrive, I had already consumed most of my breakfast.

On a positive note, the portion size was generous, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant. The staff were friendly, albeit a bit forgetful with my order modification.

While Goodbodies has potential, it seems they may need to reassess their pricing strategy or upgrade their ingredient quality to truly justify the cost. For now, it might be worth a visit if you're in the mood for an excellent milkshake, but temper your expectations for...

If anyone has visited a transport cafe, this will be nothing new to you. They have had the idea to pick up a 24 hour transport cafe with its old signs on the wall and leathered covered bench seating and stick it near the shops in plymouth. Pump in music tv and it becomes a theme cafe and trendy place to go.

Unlike a transport cafe, parking is terrible. Nothing but residential permit parking everywhere. However there is a carpark over the other side of the road down a side street.

Meals are the same, good sized portions and variations for the typical trucker with an appetite.

If your not from a Trucker background and want something different, or its late and your stuck for a good cooked meal its a winner.

It works and has a good following, and being an Ex lorry driver I cant fault it, but you will get many of the younger generation meeting mates and not spending much cash.

Food is a good transport cafe price, good size and friendly staff. Now i have to finish my PINT of...

My first time there and I can say it a very nice place keep to clean standards, I do this one a month to different places try food and see if places are good or bad, Service was pretty quick even though they apologized for the wait, However the food wasn't the best to say. The burger bun tasted style and smell it... the chips was krispy on the outside but rock solid on the inside the only part of the meal that was nice was the chicken and the coleslaw

The person that served us was ok...... however they were more concerned about giving away free stuff to three females then actually caring about their service to others, i didn't realize that it is a single person establishment because that is how it came across

I hope on my next visit I won't be disappointed with the food or the fragments of the single servicer look to chat...
