šŸ“ Episode 7 The Early Bird Plymouth. This is a must try brunch spot in Plymouth! They have to offer artisan bakes, brunch and coffee. They have set an amazing atmosphere within their resturant creating a hun for their customers! If you enjoy going for brunch in a relax place then this ticks all the boxes! #foodreviews #fyp #foryoupageofficiall #devon #trending #foodie #food #foodreview #foryoupage #plymouth #hiddengems #eggs #brunch #coffee

Wow! Sorry so late in posting. We were lucky enough to book in for the second ā€˜late bird’ before Christmas. We were too late to get into the first ā€˜late bird’ - and now I know why! I have nothing but praise for the whole evening. Greeted so warmly by the lovely staff who served an amazing cocktail as we sat down. We had a sharing platter to start - I can’t actually tell you which of the five or so choices were the best! This was followed by the best duck dish I’ve ever tasted! (The red cabbage was out of this world!) Compliments to the chef! Pudding is my thing - I’m afraid I’d eaten most of my choc torte before I took a photo!!! The meal was superb but it was also the atmosphere and the warmth from the staff that made the evening. Please do the ā€˜late night’ again! Lol we enjoyed the meal so much we actually went back for a late lunch the next day! Although there was a queue it moved very quickly and my word worth the wait! I suppose if people queue to go here there is certainly a good reason why! We left with two loaves of home made bread which omg - well you just need to try it! Totally recommend this family run business - how lucky is Plymouth to have not one but two Early Birds’!!!

I revisited this cafe this morning for it's good vegan food. The Vegan Breakfast is still quite nice and their drinks are still made well. Unfortunately, some things are not as good as they were before. For example, they used to have a great variety of vegan options and now it seems rather limited in some areas. Also, I had a member of staff spill coffee beans over my back whilst I was eating and there wasn't even apology. That said, most of the staff are friendly and smiley. I would say the value for money is not quite as good as before either, but that was my personal experience. Please see below for my original review from 2 years ago... "Blown away! Went for breakfast with friends and had a full vegan breakfast with one of the best vegan milkshakes I have ever tried. It was also fairly cheap, especially for somewhere in a city. For example, 6 brownie-cookies for £15. I would recommend getting there early to avoid the long queues, as it is very popular at the moment."

You'll kick yourself if you don't try it! I adore Early Bird; their story is amazing and it's beautiful to see how far they've come and are still going! Their customer service is great (there are a couple of new staff members that are still adjusting). The online store is awesome because they deliver the goods straight to your door, as fresh as in the cafe itself. Really reasonable prices for the occasional treat.

The cafe itself has a great vibe, with plants and quirky pictures around; the seating is pretty good given the space size they're working with.

The food: Sour dough loaf - incredible Country loaf - delicious Honey and sunflower loaf - incredible Hot cross buns were incredible Brownies - incredible Cookie nests - incredible Gourmet pork pies - incredible Cooked breakfasts - incredible (and extremely accommodating to fussy orderers like me) Chicken salt fries - fantastic Coffee - Great (a good 9/10 - some days its not as nice as before) Good selection of cold drinks - their milkshakes look amazing.

As you can see, I'm a big fan. They're a brilliant lot & deserve all the praise possible for what they're providing not just in Mutley Plain, but all over the...

Disappointed.. We went to the mutley plain location for takeaway coffee and brownie, after finding out that they dont do anything gluten free we ordered the kinder bueno brownie from my husband and two take away coffees we were then told to wait outside and they would be brought to us evthough there was only 3 people sat at tables, after 20 min i began to get cold so stepped inside and waited by the door the waitress asked what i was waiting for and i said coffee she then went to check and found our ticket still by the till as an apology for the wait she gave us a biscoff doughnut which was a nice thought but a bit of a waste as its not a flavour me or my husband would eat and when i got back to the car we found they had given us the wrong brownie you have guessed it it was a biscoff one, as well as only half a cup of coffee after waiting for over half an hour for takeaway coffee we didnt have time to go back to correct it which left us disappointed who knows how long i would have been waiting out in the cold as no one was fufilling our order i doubt we will be going again it definatly seems more set up for sit in rather...
