My wife and I visited the little kitchen and ordered two hot drinks. We were asked if we wanted food which we declined but was again immediately asked if we wanted food. The hot drinks took some time to be served and while waiting for our hot drinks were asked again if we wanted food. I replied, is it necessary yo order food? and the answer was that their food was delicious. Again we declined and waited till our drinks arrived. We had our coffee which was good and the resturant itself is nice and homely, but I was disappointed to see covid partition screens still in use. Read moreHad lunch at the Little Kitchen today but will definitely not be going back. The food was ok and the service was friendly BUT I was stunned at the staffs lack of hygiene. The waiting staff were clearing the tables, plates and cups right by us and then, without washing or sanitising their hands, would pick up food orders from the food station right across from the bin and hand out the food, without using a tray either. During a pandemic this is the last thing any customer needs. Also after handling payments, clearing tables/plates the waitress proceeded to wrap up clean knife and forks into napkins for the next unsuspecting customers without washing her hands....
Read moreSecond Edit - They are now trying to threaten the employees stating they will never see their money now it’s become public knowledge that the owner hasn’t paid them. Thus admitting publicly he has broken the law in withholding wages.
EDIT - The owner has now removed reviews off of the business Facebook, further proving they would rather be a coward and hide the truth than pay what innocent people are owed.
I will happily change/remove my review once lessons have been learnt and staff who have worked hard are paid. At least £6000 owed and still not a penny paid. It’s modern slavery in the 21st century, during a cost of living...
