Freedom fields park is a wonderful park in the middle of a dense residential area. It’s a wonderful place to take the kids, a dog or have a nice walk and view of the sea. It is always clean and safe. I rent a place every year near this park to see family and take my kids to it regularly. It’s neat to see them make friends with the school kids when they get out of school. It becomes a very lively park! There are some times festivals and large events that happen here as well.

I went to watch Mad Dog Mcrea at the Freepm Fields Festival and managed to find one space in a nearby road that was close enough to the park and relatively level, so I could use my rollator to finish my journey. It looked like a good park, from what I could see, but I loved the fact it was being used for the festival as well, making full use of the space.

I really love this park. It's not too big yet perfect for evening walks. You meet lovely dogs and owners here. There are few benches to sit down too. Children can play in the playground or run around on the grass. There is a view towards the sea on the horizon which is visible during the warmer months.

I live very close by. This is a very large park. Great children's park. It's has a cafe . That's serves snacks and hot drinks. Good value. Toilets. Very clean park. Great for cycling . Games. Walking the dog. Every year at the end of May have a very large Music Festival Three tents holding lots of various bands. Rock to Alcustic music. Thousands of people come to this advent. Highly recommended it. NOT to be missed.. Also have stalls a face painting. Weekend Saturday and Sunday. Lots of stalls craft clothes jewellery food. Etc.Face painting. Also every August they have a big fun day. Also they held events certain evenings in the cafe. Every October a dog show also have various stalls and face painting. I love this park. Great to take kids. It's also great veiw to watch the world fire work competition held in plymouth every August. Parking in the area is parking permit only in certain streets between 10...

Great place to walk the doggies. Plenty of bins for dog poo to help people keep it clean though you do still have to watch where you're walking sometimes. Children's play area looks good and is gated/closed off from the dogs but I don't have kids so it's merely an observation.

For anyone interested in getting into running, I found this a great place to start out with the couch to 5k programme as the paved paths make a nice circuit that you can vary a little and the park is mostly flat save for a slight incline on the bottom end. As a bonus, the entire path is lit at night/early morning.

As mentioned in some other reviews, there are sometimes kids that get drunk in the sheltered area later at night but I've never had any problems with them as they tend to keep...

Dog lovers dream! Doesn't matter what weather, still a lovely place to walk and enjoy the fresh air. Loads of space for dogs, children and big kids to run about. On sunny days, it's easy to see Plymouth Sound. Great places to hold a picnic, as long as you don't mind visits from dogs! Just make sure the glass is clean in the area you sit. Cafe is also located inside the park, also a playground and basketball court. Dogs cannot enter the premises, however outside the gate to the cafe there is a dog's water bowl provided...
