Great location and nice spot for a walk. We had the set fee Sunday Carvery . It's good value for money , the meat was good and a very large selection of sides and veggies. Like most places in uk alot of veggies especially Greens are boiled and people who are used to roasted veggies may find them a bit wet and soggy- this is just how they do it. Good selection of beers and the Red wine was easy drinking. The interior in the bar is a bit dated and reminds me a bit of old social clubs with the decor, but again this is the UK . Recommend stopping in here especially in summer then walking down to the ocean.

I was waiting for my ferry to go back to Plymouth after long cliff walk and I could not resist to come here and have a beer . First beer in months ! . I was so glad and happy that they have garden , a big one , so there was no problems to sit down and enjoy beer of freedom . They do follow covid safety regulations so no worries . Ah ! It was beautiful moment ! My đŸșđŸșđŸșđŸș .

A lovely selection of good food, quickly served by very friendly and helpful staff. A beautiful setting right beside the water and for people like me that can't walk far, great for a stroll. Ooh, and you can take your dog.

So we visited on Sunday 18th of February 2024 for a carvery with our children, not only was the food completely un edible the floor was absolutely soaking wet my 5 year old daughter went flying when I pointed this out to a member of staff she brushed it off and laughed like it’s funny that she has fallen over, staff are so rude and unhelpful! I would never ever eat here again very unprofessional and like I said food was disgusting we’ve had better at a fast food restaurant! Not only this on our way out my daughter then went flying on a rock they have by there door on the way in and out clearly there to hold the door open but it was not on this occasion and she went flying over it (it’s not small mind ) and has bruised up all her face because of this, I am absolutely fuming this has happened and could not wait to leave. I would give you 0 stars but that option is not available! So no I do not recommend the food. staff was rude and unhelpful and certainly not suitable. For children. I’ll expect a response from this mount batten and I will take this further ! Death trap! and...

Really bad experience at this pub tonight: I called during the day to ask what time food was served up until as we were going to arrive just after 8pm, I was told 8.30 was last orders for food which sounded fine. We arrived at 8 and conscious of the time ordered and paid for food for 5 of us. After I paid I was told the pub closed at 9! Website says 11pm.

I thought I should have been told when I phoned earlier and before we ordered and paid! We ordered at 8.10 and the food came to the table at 8.40! No less than 4 members of staff, all pretty unfriendly, came to tell us while we were eating that we didn’t have long as they were closing at 9.

I asked to speak to the manager afterwards, it seemed the barman was the most senior staff member, I told him that I thought we had been made to feel very unwelcome and should have been made aware of the closing time when I called or I paid, he did apologise but then a waitress came over to the table and complained about us complaining! Absolutely unbelievable!

I won’t be spending my hard earned money at The...

We visited for a carvery today and I know we made staff aware but just wanted to put in an email how disappointed we were. We were unable to enjoy our meal due to people sat near us the gentleman clearly had a cough and cold and there is no issue with this but to continually cough and not put their hand over their mouth or attempt to remove himself was disgusting. The person then starting to use their vape inside the premises as well which I was even more shocked at! I know it is difficult for the staff to ask someone to leave but with vaping and continually coughing I think they would have been able to ask them politely! It's a shame and really ruined our meal. I know you can't be responsible for customers actions but I don't believe we would have been the only ones who felt like this but perhaps we were the only ones who said anything. I did send you this email two weeks ago and still not heard...
