The one star is for the useless chef.... Group of six, bill totalling over £240....Service is good & nice settings/outlook...As for the food, most of it looked ok......Two of our party ordered the scallops for a starter... what came out was really disappointing, all I can compare them with is one of the round pink liquorice all sorts, that's the size of the scallops..☹ Seeing the restaurants menu is mainly based around seafood & is not too far from the fish market, you would think that who ever orders in the produce for that day would look for a good size & not the minuscule scallops that they serve up & charge £9 for 4...!!! Also, the chef clearly doesn't know how to cook a steak or know the difference between rump & fillet...🙄 Asked for a rare fillet...what came out wasnt fillet or rare, but well done rump...I asked for it to be taken back as I ordered it to be cooked rare...what came back wasnt rare & still wasn't fillet......I'm sorry, but you dont get cod fat on a fillet & it shouldn't be flat/thinly cut like a rump or sirloin...!!!🤔 Plus, you have the ordasity to charge £25 the the fillet when it clearly isn't....last time I will be...

My family and I visited on a sunny Sunday so we were feeling very positive about this place. Unfortunately the experience turned sideways. They don’t take Covid-19 measurements seriously, we were handed menus straight from other costumers without being disinfected from the table next to us, also mask were not wear in the correct manner, covering the nose by all the staff members.

We waited for our starters over 40 minutes, there were costumers that sat down after us, eat something and left before we got our starters. But the worst part of the meal was the main course my mum order the Steak. First of all it was served cold and the chips were served undercooked and room temperature, all of this made my mum SICK and had to leave after that. After that mistake we let the server know and ask for the bill, the manager never show to give a decent apology and the waiter blamed my mother for being sick after eating the food served in this place. What a SHAME! This place has a lot of improvement in terms of costumer service and food.

Avoid at all cost if you want...

Variable service depending who is on duty. Eaten here a few times over the last couple of years, quality of service really depends who is working, quite often staff are sat at tables talking to regular customers instead of serving tables. I hate having to get up and walk to the bar to order another drink. More consistent staff training needed please!

My review a year ago clearly given a good ignoring. Visited again last week and the service was shocking, the staff were tidying up to close (at 7pm), the kitchen porter spent his time shuffling past our table carrying stuff to/from the bar. The food (burger) was inedible, so much so we refused to pay for it. I was assured they hadn't changed their butcher but would take it up with them. The next morning I saw a Bookers Cash & Carry butcher van outside so don't expect any quality ingredients at the Waypoint.

The place needs proper management, not a chip...

This was a perfect place for drinks, food and atmosphere. The drinks selection was good (including Bundaberg Ginger Beer), the food delicious with huge portions, but best of all was the service…everyone was so lovely and went out of their way to make our visit. Add in a lovely location and free parking (for up to 2 hours) and it’s an absolute winner!

The staff, especially Kristy, are exceedingly friendly although very professional. The food is amazing and served in a timely manner. The varied choice of drinks caters for most tastes. A couple of absolutely enjoyable visits over the last couple of days. Sad to be on our way tomorrow 😪

Staff were amazing and the restaurant offers a very relaxed atmosphere. Just a quick stop off for cuppa and cake. I really need to visit this place in the summer as I can only imagine the views and scenery will be even more lovely.
