What a delightful spot this is. The Pavilion café is well kept and clean with bright decor. Friendly helpful staff are unrushed and attentive. There is plenty of seating both inside and out. The best tables are on the patio in the sun overlooking the children's play area in Victoria Park. Joggers jog by. Dogs drag walkers along, holding little black bags. Cyclists roll past on their way to work or uni. Mums watch excited children on the play equipment. Around the café, the park generally are some very fine tall and mature trees. Full breakfast and lunch menu available with the spectacular Prince Albert (double everything) option. A range of lunch and early evening meal options. You can get just simple tee or coffee and cakes or proper sit down feast. What is not to enjoy?

Perfectly located in the centre of Victoria Park, so you can take a walk around the park, then rest here with cake... Perfect, also play park opposite, so handy for them too. Good menu range and inexpensive , and really friendly staff.

Love it hear. Great food, great service and well priced. All with a wonderful park outside for the kids to enjoy.

This is a hidden gem. Situated in Victoria Park the cafe looks like an old Victorian brick house which has been converted. It's right on the edge of park in close proximity to the children's play area and a large grassy flat area for all types of sport. I remember playing many league football matches here in the late sixties!! Around this park is a circular tarmac path, quite wide which is perfect for safe bike riding. And the cafe!! Perfect happy lady hosts and the menu is mind boggling from different meat roasts, any sort of breakfast you can imagine to just a toasted tea cakes. The coffee I had was delicious and the bonus is that there is a terrace at the front which allows you to take in the sun and supervise your kids whilst relaxing having a drink!! It's hidden away, not easy to find, probably a mile from the city centre so mainly patronized by locals. It is a lovely walk through the Park going west and then past the front of Devonport High School for boys before arriving at Stonehouse bridge from which you can walk to Mount Wise, another hidden gem, or Royal William yard. They gave me a loyalty card which you can also use in the Devonport park cafe. They are open everyday but Christmas day. It's good to support your local cafes!!!...

Nice to have a little cafe by Victoria park. Can get really busy when the sun's out but staff bring out your order and the wait wasn't too bad. Good coffee and cake selection is great! All I would say is that they should have a bigger bin in the toilet as it's the only one there and caters for baby changing so a tiny pedal bin isn't really appropriate for nappy disposal and was overflowing...
